Apple has now made an announcement regarding an update for iOS to version 6.1 that will help many Apple iPhone 4S users to make use of the LTE technology in more countries around the world.
The demand for the use of LTE technology is growing all over the world and therefore Apple has decided to offer something better to the users that have already purchased Apple iPhone 4S. Apple claims that with the new version update many users will be able to make use of the LTE technologies and Fandango ticket buying through Siri and better music controls. The update will also fix some of the earlier bugs that were left out in the phone.
However, while Apple is happy with the new update many consumers that make use of 4S phone said that they started experiencing major problems with making calls and sending text messages and also accessing the internet. In European countries three Austrian networks and Vodafone have already warned users not to go for the update because it can hamper the call features and also add problems to sending texts and accessing the web.
Vodafone said that they are already aware of the problems that are associated with the update and therefore they are warning customers not to go for it because it impacts the performance of the phone. The company said that they have already informed Apple about it and the investigation is on and therefore it is recommended that customers do not install v6.1 iOS until the problem has been resolved and until they get clear confirmation from Apple. Some of the updates also claim that the update to new version also affects the Wi-Fi capabilities of Apple iPhone 4S.
