If you are a gamer, you most likely know about the way Batman: Arkham Knight was released earlier in summer. A terrible disaster, with tons of bugs that needed fixing and a very poor experience. What also made it worse was that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment knew about them, because it was literally impossible to drop such a title on the market without noticing that you have some big issues.
Luckily, the company admitted that the game was a total catastrophe, so they pulled the game out of Steam and gaming shelves in order to make a comeback. And here it is: Arkham Knight will be playable again by the end of October (hopefully) with all the bugs fixed so that the players can enjoy the full Batman experience without any pesky inconveniences.
To back up the info, the well-known Steam community admin, Yorick, recently posted on the games page that the Arkham Knight will be making a stand once more. The developers are working on eliminating every single bug that has broken this game. And, this is where it gets pretty good, all the DLC that was released until now will also be available for the PC edition. Looks like we are getting the full, unbugged experience.
The bad news, and pretty much normal, is that the DLC packs will not be free. Even though PC gamers had paid for a really badly designed game, they were also denied playing starting with June 27th, when the game was quickly removed from the stores as a result of critics. You know it’s really bad when such a popular title is removed from Steam.
Even though, ideally, the DLC should have been free for the PC players, it is still understandable that it isn’t. These devs should have something to eat after clearing out so many bugs, right? Hopefully, we are going to be seeing some better improvement in the GPU and the game’s flow. Maybe, but just maybe, the players will be tempted to pay for the DLC if the game is well optimized.
If you have been waiting all this time and not given in to the temptation of watching the game and its story on YouTube, you should know that it is quite worth it. Arkham Knight came in with a very strong story, worthy of a “shut up and take my money”.
So look at the reviews when the game comes out again, because you might want to take a shot at it.
