Batman: Arkham Knight returns in style. Months after having been retired from store shelves and Steam, the legendary dark knight comes back with some extra goodies packed so that everyone can enjoy the entire Arkham experience. If you purchase Arkham Knight now, you will also be able to download the entire Arkham Collection for free, so make haste because the offer is not going to be here for too long.
The news regarding Arkham Knight that we received today is actually good. Following the disastrous first release with tons of bugs and unplayable content for the PC, Rocksteady have confirmed today that if you purchase the game until November 16th this year, you will also be receiving Arkham Asylum GOTY, Arkham City GOTY, Arkham Origins and Arkham Origins Blackgate. It is the least developers can do to make amends for the poorest Batman experience in gaming history.
And the good news does not stop there. Apparently, Rocksteady are working on the “Community Challenge Pack” that is going to also be released for free in next year’s first month. Top top it all off, the entire Steam community will receive full access to all the maps that will come with the new pack and they will do so one week before it launches on the consoles.
Is that enough? Rocksteady doesn’t think so and since Team Fortress 2 is such a blast on Steam nowadays, they have signed an official partnership with Valve to create some of the greatest, Arkham themed, weapons in the game, which will also be given to Arkham Knight Owners free of charge. And now that we ran through all the details, it’s time to take a breath and forgive the developers for the way they are trying to compensate their mistake.
We know, there are some real Batman fans out there who will not let this one slide so easily, especially because it was the last Arkham game and it had a ton of details put into it, but it is hard not to notice that Rocksteady are making up for their sins right now. Imagine that all this content is going to take a lot of time to do and they will be doing it all free of charge. Overall, it is quite possible that the company might still be losing a lot of money.
It is safe to say that Batman: Arkham Knight returns in style, or with a little bit of style anyway. The comeback does seem good enough.
