We all know the next smartphone Blackberry is engrossed with right now is the new BB A10. It will be unlike anything they have come up with so far and will be the new flagship device for the Canadian company, something that will take on the likes of the upcoming iPhone variant or the LG Optimus G2.
Now coming to the leaks and rumors concerning the A10, the latest images clearly depicts the 5 inch display of the A10. The leaked image from BGR shows the BB A10 to take some design cues from Samsung Galaxy S4 as well as HTC One. The top portion of the device looks quite similar to S4 along with a black bezel that extends all the way till the edge of the device. The bottom half portion comes with a metal strip just below the bezel which again reminds us of the HTC One.
The upcoming powerhouse smartphone from Blackberry has also been caught on a video posted at You Tube which clearly shows the device to be based on the BB10 platform, as is evident while swiping the applications or launching a Settings app. The device at hand looks bigger than the Z10, which supports the notion of it might have a 5 inch display. If this is indeed true then it will make the A10 to be the largest device so far to run the BB 10 operating system. However, while a 5 inch display isn’t bad, sources claim the device will have a resolution of 720p only. This when other devices in this genre such as the Sony Xperia Z, Galaxy S4, the HTC One and so on offer full HD displays.
Rumor sources further claim the A10 will be powered by a dual core ARM chip while there will be a separate graphics processor as well to ensure speedy performance at all times. This combination is also likely to appeal to the gamers as well though the only problem as of now is that there are far too few games available for the BB10 platform.
BlackBerry A10 release date is expected to hit the streets at the end of the year. As of now, there are no information regarding the carriers and prices.
