Until 2014, Blue was known for producing great microphones. After that, they decided to enter the headphone market. Nobody believed that they could be so successful when it comes to headphones but apparently they were.
Their first headphones were named Mo-Fi and they were a great success for Blue. After Mo-FI the company revealed Lola last year. Mo-Fi was also the first headphone set that has a built-in amp. Lola did not have the built-in amp but it has a more interesting design.
At CES 2017 Blue unveiled its wireless headphones named Satellite. This is the first time they are designing wireless devices and it is a great step for the company. The company also unveiled other 2 models of headphones: Ella and Sadie
First of them is Ella which is a planar magnetic set of headphones. Ella has the same design as Lola and Mo-Fi. They also have a built-in amp like the previous model. The price of these headphones is $700.
The second device is Sadie. These headphones have almost the same design as Ella but they are considered to be a more developed model of Mo-Fi, the first headphones designed by Blue. The price of the Sadie headphones is $400.
The wireless headphones that Blue just unveiled are named Satellite. Of course, the best feature of these headphones is for sure the wireless one. Instead of the wires, for Satellite, Blue opted for Bluetooth 4.1.
Blue also added a new feature for these wireless headphones named Satellite. That feature is the adaptive noise cancellation. Despite the fact that most of the latest headphones have this feature Bue managed to find an interesting approach.
“Satellite uses separate, dedicated ANC drivers so that our dedicated audio drivers and audiophile amp can deliver high-fidelity sound for no-compromise wireless listening,” Blue Microphones CEO John Maier.
Satellite is not yet launched on the market and the price and availability are unknown for now. The company mentioned that these wireless headphones are going to be for sale in a few weeks. We’ll just have to wait and see how expensive these new wireless headphones from Blue are.
What is your opinion about the wireless headphones? Would you buy a pair?
