Elon Musk develops Neuralink, being bound to enhance artificial intelligence by connecting human brains to computers, reaching technological augmentation. Neuralink appeared in the Wall Street Journal on March 27. However, it has been known that Elon Musk was working on developing an interface prone to connect computers and brains, trying to assure people that they can keep pace when it comes to the development of artificial intelligence.
Musk is bound to use a technology to link brains with computers
Last year, at Code Conference, Elon Musk discussed the idea of developing a “neural lace” which would be connected to a human brain through a surgical procedure. This neural lace is bound to permit users to interact with a computer, without the bandwidth hurdle which comes with the new methods that implement trackpads, mice, and keyboards.
Since he tweeted his idea, he declared that he managed to make progress by using his own exploration of this e=revolutionary technology. Recently, rumors were indicating that he was trying to fund a new company which could focus on this particular project. Nevertheless, at first, Neuralink will not be focused on improving common human brains.

Instead, the company will observe how the interfaces of the brain might ameliorate the symptoms of chronic diseases. Among these illnesses, depressive disorder and epilepsy could be included, based on the report. The efforts could contribute to the developing of solutions based on existing therapies which use electrodes in the brain to control Parkinson’s. For Neuralink, this could be a starting point, having well-determined science and a clear way to authorization for human use.
Eliminating that challenge would later help at setting up the new company for its long-term purpose regarding human augmentation. Even if this idea might sound a little exaggerated, people need to know that this is how Musk is used to do these things when he wants to build something big on an even bigger idea.
Elon Musk used the same model for Tesla and SpaceX, starting his businesses with near-term products which, in the beginning, they were not as ambitious as later projects developed to be to reach a viable path to exquisite designs, such as landing on the Red Planet or developing mass-produced long-range EVs. Musk will now have four companies, Neuralink, SpaceX, Tesla and The Boring Company, bound to improve transportation through tunnels.
