The Mobile World Congress will be held next week in Barcelona, Spain.
It is unclear how the successor of Galaxy S8 will be named, but we expect the company to continue the tradition call it the Galaxy S9 and S9+. The newest versions of the smartphone are expected to look similar to the S8 and S8+ respectively, but they’ll sport some extra enhancements.
The enhancements include better software, higher- resolution cameras, and faster processors.
Here’s Why Postponing the Galaxy S8 Purchase Is a Good Thing
Experts recommend waiting for the Galaxy S9 launch for at least two reasons. If you have the money and want the best smartphone from Samsung, you’ll get the occasion to buy it in just a few weeks. Also, if you’re eyeing the Galaxy S8 and S8+, you should wait for their prices to drop as soon as the new devices hit the market.
It is unclear when the Galaxy S9 will be made available to the masses. After a first glimpse at a new smartphone, Samsung has usually either launched it immediately via carriers or accepted orders directly after a few weeks.
Analysts expect the first scenario as the South Korean smartphone maker is running out of time in the face of competition from Apple’s iPhone X.
If you want a larger, tablet-like device, you should go for the Galaxy Note 8 which is expected to be refreshed by the end of the year. Samsung has done it before when a new model was not unveiled at a tech show.
