Lately, gamers were lucky to enjoy the launching of many great games like Horizon: Zero Dawn and Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The first quarter of 2017 carried the industry of video games on high new peaks. Gamers must be thrilled since a new console was launched, “Resident Evil” was revived, “Ghost Recon” and “Halo Wars” are back and there were launched many triple-A IPs like “Horizon: Zero Dawn” and “For Honor.”

What is more, game developers just released what may be the best “Legend of Zelda” game. If you think this is not enough, then you should know that “Mass Effect: Andromeda” will be launched in two weeks. A lot of new games, full of innovative features are here to astonish gamers.
On March 3rd, the launch of Nintendo Switch came alongside the game “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,” being its must-play launch-title. Nintendo took the opportunity to give its hybrid portable platform a purpose for early adopters. Before Zelda, on February 28th, Sony’s PlayStation 4 exclusive as released together with “Horizon: Zero Dawn.”
Zelda and Horizon: Zero Dawn impose bow-and-arrow fight
Analysts claim that both these games are immense open-world adventures, while both unfold mysterious third-person action journeys and amazing stories. Both games mingle technology and fantasy in a unique way. Horizon, as well as Zelda, involves bow-and-arrow combat to annihilate massive creatures. Some gaming analysts would say that these two masterpieces should not be compared.
Nevertheless, some believe that it does not happen very often to discuss two games which are so comparable. What is even more interesting in this comparison is that one of them is a long-running brand which already has many fans and the other one if entirely new, coming from the developers of “Killzone,” which was of a totally different nature.
On Metacritic, where games get review scores, “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” received an amazing score of 97%. If we were to compare them, “Horizon: Zero Dawn” got 89% on Metacritic, being a positive outcome from the board of game critics. If you had spent several hours in these new games, you would have found it difficult to say which one is the best too.
The mechanics of the gameplay in “Horizon: Zero Dawn” are more advanced in combat, while in “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” the game elements interacts with one another in surprising manners.
