In 2014, the two tech giants have announced that there were no resentments in between and that they were willing to start develop the world of technology and the ways though which technology improves our everyday life and that they intended to do it together, in a partnership that seemed very ambitious and serious as well.
MobileFirst, one of Apple Inc.`s websites, has announced recently that Apple and IBM were looking forward to develop a list of apps that will contribute to various sectors. The main aspects that these apps are concerned with are healthcare, industry, tourism and insurance.
For example, Apple and IBM want to bring to the healthcare industry an improvement, by developing the Hospital RN iOS application. There can be a lot of inconveniences provoked by the fact that the pagers of the nurses in a hospital are a bit obsolete. The partnership between Apple Inc. and IBM wants to resolve this problem by centralizing all the information into one place. There will also be notifications that will announce latest news about patients and even their location in the hospital. Hospital Tech and Hospital Lead, the latter being developed for iPad are other apps that target to improve the everyday life and efficiency within hospitals or healthcare facilities. So is the Home RN app, which focuses on enhancing the efficiency of home-visits, bringing maps, information about the patient and notifications all in one place.
Rapid Handover is an application designed for the industry sector. It is the first of its kind that was developed by Apple Inc. in partnership with IBM. The main target of the iPad program is to enhance the dynamics within an industrial workplace. Information and notifications about shifts activity and schedule will be centralized into these app, so the workers will acknowledge every change or modification.
The Ancillary Sale app is targeted to aid the work of a flight attendant. Within this program, the flight attendants will be notified about any request of the passengers. They will know if there is a request for an upgrade to a particular seat, or if someone wishes to purchase a duty-free product.
