The HTC Droid DNA is simply jaw dropping. The beautiful 1080p 5 inch display smart phone has everything you will need to feed your mobile needs. Now, M7 is rumored to be the successor of the Droid DNA. According to what looks like a clear publicity stunt, Peter Chou, the CEO of HTC, addressed the crowd at a local year end party of HTC at Taipei and thanked the team behind M7 for making the phone possible.
The interesting this is that Chou started to use a handset on the stage and clicked a few pictures of the crowd in front of him. The video clip which captured this part of the event is rather shaky and the distance of the camera from the stage is too much to make out what device Chou was exactly holding. However, common sense applies that it was at least a prototype of M7 being used as a “great opportunity for testing”. M7 is rumored to be announced at the Mobile World Congress which is just around the corner.
The device is supposed to have a 4.7 inch display with super LCD3 technology supporting 1080p super HD resolution. The device with run on a 1.7 GHz quad core processor and will have 2 GB of processing space. Although it is unclear whether the processor will be of Nvidia or Snapdragon. There will be 32 GB of storage, in comparison to 16 GB of space given on the HTC Droid DNA. The camera will be 12 mp with a dedicated image processing chip.
There is also a HTC event happening on February 19 at New York. Maybe, the company has planned the event around the announcement of the HTC M7. However, HTC has to work a lot to steal some market from Samsung, which seems to be rising successfully with their Galaxy and Note series products.
