HTC have taken a leaf or line out of the Samsung marketing strategy pages or propaganda program and applied it to their own device lineup. Samsung have used the “Galaxy S” label for branding and marketing their latest list of handsets in the market. From Galaxy S to S4 to Galaxy S4 Active and then Galaxy S4 Mini, we get to see a wide range of handsets from Samsung to suit every one’s diverse needs.
The S4 Active is the ruggedized version of the Galaxy S4 and is for those who need a device that can take on a bit of the rough. Then there also is the S4 Zoom which Samsung claims is for those who take photography on their smartphones seriously. However, it would be rather modest to call the S4 Zoom just a smartphone with enhanced photographic capabilities.
Among these, it is perhaps the S4 Mini that makes a lot of sense given its more manageable dimensions as well as pocket friendly credentials. HTC too have realized the need for coming out with handset that can be considered a worthy contender to the Galaxy S4 Mini from Samsung, something that they named as the “HTC One Mini”. The information that has been gathered about the HTC One Mini is listed in succeeding lines.
The handset is also known by the name HTC M4. The set as per information from @LabTooFer (an un-named insider from HTC) is going to arrive in the US via T-Mobile. That Verizon would not be supporting the One Mini also finds mention. There are other technical blogs which indicate that there is possibility of AT&T also taking on the HTC One Mini.
Release dates of the HTC One Mini have not been announced by HTC though leaks from various sources give us an approximate date of release as August. Whether the release dates would be with the network support of T-Mobile and AT&T is as unsure as the release date itself.
Not much other information or details about the set is yet available.
