Improved new MacBooks are said to launch in 2017. The new MacBook Pro line is soon to be on the market, having a broad range of new updates. Many of the ideas which Apple wanted to implement to their new devices were controlled by the restrictions imposed by Intel. These limitations occurred because of the development of the new Kaby Lake processor.
The new MacBook Pro with a processor of 3 2.0 i5 GHz known to be dual-Thunderbolt has been claimed to be identical with the processor called 6360U. This one was launched towards the end of 2015. It has a turbo frequency which measures 3.1 GHz and a processor designed by Intel, equipped with a 14nm process, just like any other MacBook which is part of the Pro line.
The design profile on the chip displays 15W, having a maximum of 12 PCI-E channels. Every laptop from the range of MacBook Pro line is equipped with a dual-core processor like this one. An option for upgrading the dual-Thunderbolt processor of 13 inches is by using the dual-core version of the processor which is equipped with 6660U 2.4 GHz i7.
The thermal design displays 15W and the processor can be improved up to 3.4 GHz. The MacBook models which use the quad-Thunderbolt 3 having 13 inches has a range of three different processor choices. The first one who also represents the base model is a 6267U processor equipped with 2.9 GHz and dual i5. The options of upgrading are the 6287U dual i5 3.1 GHz model or the 6660U dual i7 2.4 GHz processor, just like in the version of dual-Thunderbolt.
The MacBook which will have its processor upgraded to 6267U dual i5 2.9 GHz can increase its speed up to 3.3 GHz, also improving the thermal design to 28W. The MacBook Pro which uses the quad-Thunderbolt of 15 inches also has three choices when it comes to the capacity of the processor.
The first one is the 6920HQ 2.9 GHz one, followed by the 6700HQ 2.6 GHz and the 6820HQ 2.9 GHz processor. The top turbo speeds which can be reached are 3.8 GHz, 3.5 GHz, and 3.6 GHz, respectively. All three options display a thermal design profile of 45W, having 16 PCI-e lanes and a quad-core processor. Customers have the possibility of customizing their new MacBooks with teh set of features provided for the processor.
