Some leaked code disclosed the future of Instagram and how interesting their posts will become. Those pieces of code might suggest the social media platform will be including music in their posts. Also, you will be able to find this Instagram music based on genre, on how trending it is, or on your mood.
The leaked code contained the word “music” several times
Yesterday, an interesting image surfaced on the internet hinting at some changes in Instagram. The image in question presented some strings of code that contained an interesting word. There were five sequences of code, and each of them started with the word “music”. Apart from this, the code also contained categories like moods, trending, and genres.
This might suggest that Instagram is preparing to incorporate music in its posts. To test it, several users decided to access the app and see what they find. After launching the app, they saw the regular options like hashtags and temperature pop up on the screen. However, the menu featured Instagram music as well.
Facebook seems determined to adopt Instagram music
Here’s how music got integrated in the menu. Apart from the other options, there were two more icons. One of them was a musical note, while the other looked like a small gray box and contained a song. Also, the search bar contained all the three categories mentioned above.
The incorporation of Instagram music comes soon after its parent company decided to make it more accessible. Facebook allowed a series of third-party apps and platforms to get access to all Instagram users. As a clear example, we can give the one of Spotify. Now, it’s possible for people to add songs to their stories by using the music streaming app.
Therefore, Facebook seems to be determined to incorporate Instagram music. The social media giant will do anything to make its platforms more appealing and easier to use. This might be an attempt to divert attention from the recent privacy scandal, but the changes are welcome anyway.
