Rumors about the LG Optimus G2 have been existent for over a few months now. In fact, these rumors emerged much before those surrounding the LG Optimus Pro. Sources revealed that the G2 would be unveiled in January. But abandoning these rumors, Optimus G Pro was released in Q1-Q2, thus becoming the next smartphone in the LG Optimus G series. The device was recently announced by AT&T in the U.S.
However, those waiting for the LG Optimus G2 need to hold on with their patience. Probably, the smartphone would be released in Q3 this year. Sources have revealed several snaps of the upcoming beast and notes on its rumored specifications. Recently, these rumors have been confirmed as genuine by some reliable sources. No official statements from LG have hit the media yet. Win Com reports that the device is set for release in third quarter of 2013.
Sources suggest that the upcoming beast will endorse an HD display of 5 inches and will operate on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU. The device is reported to carry 2GB RAM. Krait 2.5 GHz Processor and GPU Adreno 320 are rumored to be the key specs. As the present beast of LG Optimus gen bears a 13MP snapper at its hind, the G2 may also feature the same.
Rumors reveal that LG Optimus G2 will probably operate on Android Key Lime Pie v5. On the contrary, some rumors have voted for the existing Android Jelly Bean v4.2.2 to be the OS of LG Optimus G2.
