LG Electronics had made available the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean software update for its Optimus L9 smartphones. The LG Optimus L9, T-Mobile editions however received an additional update from the network service provider a month later and then one more was released just a few days back. This latest update from T-Mobile is applicable for all users of LG L9 devices which had Android 4.0.4 as well as the 4.1.2 updated version.
The main additions that the update provides the user of the device are security related and therefore quite important and essential. Other than this not much of changes are there in this upgrade from the previous version of the OS. The T-Mobile update places the devices to a “P76920F” version number.
Users if the LG Optimus L9 need to go to their Settings menu and checking for system updates. The update would be downloaded and installed on their system over the air.

Out of the box, the L9 featured Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, though users need not worry anymore now that the device is smelling of sweet sweet Jelly Beans.
