The angle of videos is quite a new feature that engineers from YouTube want to explore in order to make the experience of its users more and more unbelievable. They could be the ones who choose the angle of the videos they are watching, Digital Spy reports.
Madilyn Bailey’s channel is the one that put into practice this magnificent new idea that Google, who owns the platform, has wanted to try it as soon as possible. Four different viewing points will be available as long as the feature gets approved after being tested. The possibilities will be shown to the right of the video and it will change the view right away, when selected. In addition, the camera can also be changed, considering what the users wants to see and from where. The keyboard will be a tool enough to make these changes. Furthermore, the video sharing website has stated through its officials that the company is looking foreword to finding a way to make 360-degree changeable videos too.
The channel of Madilyn Bailey has been chosen for this experiment because of the large amount of fans that she gathered in YouTube: 1.9 million subscribers. Her show that offers this possibility to the users is a very recent concert that happened at the YouTube music nights.
The testing has begun some time now, but the experiment involved only live streaming from YouTube that offeres a six-camera view. More research is needed until the feature could become a day-by-day use for the YouTube lovers. The testing has taken place only for the desktop versions of the service in the United States, but it is most definitely expected to be tested all over the world.
More and more artists are getting involved into the project, in order to connect more with their fans and offer them a complete and perfect experience, as if they were present at the event or concert. Their support means a lot to the researchers at YouTube, making work more pleasant and rapid. YouTube spokesperson Matt McLernon said that
“We want to give artists as many ways to connect with their fans as possible, and this experimental feature brings fans even further into creating the experience they want.”
A series of changes have been made in the interface of YouTube at the end of 2014, in order to set the ground to amazing novelties. The 6.0 version of the website has different menu colors, that are lighter and give a softer touch; also, the search filter has been improved.
