The hype surrounding the Motorola X Phone can make one believe it’s the best phone that mankind has ever built. And the reason behind it can be attributed to the cloak of secrecy that its makers have managed to keep it surrounded in. Then there are two sets of rumors that are also at work here, with one set claiming the phone will be all about outstanding hardware, one that has Google backing it up. Another section believes the X Phone will have lots of customization options to offer and it is this that will set it apart from the rest.
Then there are also those who’d like us to believe the X Phone will be just like any other smartphone me toos that flood the market and will make its debut at the AT&T soon. Also, that the device may not enjoy the full support from Google and that it might not even come with any fancy hardware setup.
However, there are some interesting aspects that have also come to light and has added a new dimension to the entire X Phone mystery. First off is a video that emerged in Vietnam and claimed to be that of the X Phone. Not surprisingly, the video is not there anymore though the screenshots definitely are. Cut back to a more recent past when there were a few leaked images of a phone from Motorola that emerged online. The phone though bore the name of AT&T XFON and it didn’t mention it is the same X Phone that we have been clamoring for. Nevertheless, the similarity in the naming was too close to be missed out on.
Then there is the AT&T XT1058 that was recently spotted at the FCC. Images of the phone bears a lot of similarity with the XFON which points out to both being the same in reality. So what seems feasible is that the X Phone in reality is an AT&T high end device, or that the XFON is not the X Phone that Motorola is rumored to be developing. As for the XFON’s features, the device is likely to pack in NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, while also being compliant with AT&T LTE bands.
