Once known as the Superman of cars, the Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang entered a cone of shadow in the last years, but people in love with this super – car never lost hope in its rebirth. Definitely the biggest and most important automotive launch of 2015, the new Shelby GT350 Mustang muscle car was just revealed to the public eye, and let us tell you, it is a feast for the sight and soul!
We all know there were a lot of rumors about this car’s release at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2014. Before the event, people split into two groups: the believers, wanting to see the legend coming back to life again, and the detractors, professing that the new Ford car won’t be a true Shelby.
Apparently, the rumors were correct and the fans were rewarded for their faith: the new Shelby GT350 Mustang is the real deal and it was the highlight of the car show this year.
This superhero will make its big return to the United States featuring an iconic design and bringing new tech specs that will make all car lovers weep in joy: a flat plane 5.2 l V-8 engine providing the car with torque of over 400 lb-feet and over 500 hp power. The super car will also sport a 6-speed manual transmission, a wider front track, stiffer suspensions and 4 exhaust tips.
Among other new technologies and developments employed by Ford, there are the magnetic dampers, aggressive six-piston front and four-piston rear brakes, staggered wheel widths, 28% increased torsional stiffness and so on. The beast rolls on 9-inch alloy wheels and takes pride in a lot of cosmetic touches, such as wider front fenders, a ducted front pan, a carbon fiber grille opening and all new splitters.
The new Shelby GT350 Mustang is a lot different from its predecessor. However, the freshly revealed model keeps the spirit and the energy of its creator, Carroll Shelby, and somehow manages to be completely new at the same time. According to Ford’s officials,
The new GT350 builds on Carroll Shelby’s original idea – transforming a great every-day car into a dominant road racer – by taking advantage of a dramatically improved sixth-generation Mustang to create a truly special driving experience.
As driving experiences go, a 500 hp muscle car provided with 5 different performance modes can satisfy the most pretentious of drivers or racers. The car allows the user to adjust everything from the ABS, stability control and traction control, to steering effort and throttle mapping.
We don’t know anything about this beauty’s price yet, so all we can do for now is wait for the new Shelby GT350 Mustang to hit the market next year.
