A good number of people in the world are used to Skype and its services, but the online giant looks like it wants to attract more people by adding a brand new set of emoji. But they are not exactly emoji. They are very short film segments, very similar to GIFs, that make communication way more interactive and attempt to bring people closer. This is the aim of new Skype Mojis.
Skype named them “Mojis” and when they were asked to describe their new addition, the company said that they are “short clips from your favorite movies and TV shows”. Any Skype user can make their conversations a little more entertaining with them and they can be used during calls and in texts as well. So if you were curious as to what other emoji you could add to your favorites, these might be exactly what you are looking for.
Microsoft has declared that Moji will feature short movie segments from very popular movies like Pitch Perfect or Jurassic Park. With such big titles hitting Skype from day one, it is clear that more popular ones are going to come soon. It also represents good means to get fan boys together. If you were worried about being a geek online, you need to worry no more.
Skype was forced to share the spotlight with other services such as Lync or Whatsapp, but the brand itself has always been a very strong and popular one. Even though the competition is tight and every service is trying to keep their customers as close as possible, and occasionally steal some customers away from time to time, Skype has always been improving and it remained a favorite even to this day.
It is important to note how Skype’s call quality has risen significantly in the last years, mostly because the online giant kept a very close eye on its users and demanded constant feedback. It is a perfect example of how a service can grow if the producer and the users are both dedicated to make things work as they should. And it definitely paid off.
Moreover, Skype is ten times more visually appealing than what it used to be. If you ever looked at the animations and the way they evolved over time, they are a lot smoother now and they can even lighten up your day. Yes, dancing monkey, we are definitely looking at you right now.
We will probably need to give Skype users some time to get used to the new Moji, but one thing is certain: Skype is continuously trying to make their users happy.
