Nokia Lumia 928 has been officially announced. Verizon is the official carrier who have announced that the device will be launched on 16th May.
Nokia Lumia 928 is a more modernized and redefined version of the Lumia 920. An 8.7 inches image sensor is present in this Nokia’s newest flagship. The sensor finds its place behind a Carl Zeinss lens of 26mm wide angle with an F/2.0 orifice. This 8.7 MP image sensor is optically stabilized. An advanced Xenon flash was absent in 920, but will be carried by its successor alongside an LED flash.
However, Nokia Lumia 928 is minimally thicker than its predecessor, only by 0.5mm. Considering the addition of advanced specs, this slight thickness can be justified. The beast will be facilitated with wide dynamic range HAAC microphones and it permits audio recording as high as 140dB. It features an HD video recording capacity of 30fps.
Nokia Lumia 928 will be powered by a 4.5 inches AMOLED display of 768*1280p. The display features ClearBlack and high 500 nits of brightness mode. The phone runs on Windows 8, powered by dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait. It packs 32 GB internal storage memory, 1GB RAM and 2000mAh battery.
The device is to be carried by Verizon on its 4G LTE from May 16. The smartphone also facilitates wireless charging.
Verizon has offered a mail-in-rebate of $50 on its two year contract of $100. A $25 Windows Marketplace voucher will also be provided for a limited time. The smartphone will be released in shades of white and black. Core features of Verizon’s Nokia Lumia 928 are quite similar to that of AT&T’s Nokia Lumia 920.
However, the Lumia 928 tends to be a refined model of Lumia 920 that is more responsive with integration of some advanced technical modules in it.
