Blizzard is ramping up the excitement for Halloween as it just released its Overwatch Halloween Terror 2017 event. This will be coming with some new skins and options and will be up and alive for the following three weeks. Gone live on October 10, the special Halloween event will last until November 01.
The Overwatch Halloween Terror 2017, More Alive Than Ever
With the new event already up and running, players can easily notice that Blizzard introduced a series of new skins as well as other ghoulish rewards and other goodies.
In a blog post, the developer points out that, for this Halloween event, players can roam the now haunted streets of Hollywood and Eichenwalde. In doing so, they will be able to expand their “collection of spooky seasonal cosmetics”.
They can also team up with other three players and fight against the forces of evil come back from the death especially for not one but two Junkenstein’s Revenge-themed brawls.
The Blizzard crypt is already getting unlocked as players will be able to unlock their Halloween-themed items from 2016 while also getting some new ones. More than 50 new treats will be available for this year’s edition, including new skins.
Players can go for either a Dracula Reaper look or, in contrast, a Van Helsing McCree one. They can also go full Viking, or Corsair, Dragon Symmetra or rock in the Totally 80’s Zarya style.
Halloween classics such as the Vampire, the Witch of the Wilds, and the Reaper skins are, of course available, as is Junkenstein’s Monster.
Blizzard also points out that “New to the Arcade is Junkenstein’s Revenge: Endless Night. How long can you survive as wave after wave of enemies and bosses assault the castle doors? Play as one of four additional heroes: Genji, Torbjörn, Widowmaker, and Zenyatta. Those who survive the longest will earn a spot on the all-new leaderboard.”
The Overwatch Halloween Terror 2017 event also teases with other surprises such as new voice lines and victory poses, among others.
Players have until November 01 to play this seasonal event and unlock its loot and stories.
