Pokemon Go was announced to be soon available for playing on Apple Watch. On December 17, a Reddit user reported that Pokemon Go was canceled for Apple Watch. The Reddit user information was based on the statement of the Niantic developer who argued that the version of the game displayed in the Apple Keynote represented an “unfinished port.”
The Niantic developer also claimed that the development would only continue if the number of demands increases. Shortly after the announcement and after the confirmations of the statement were published, the official Twitter page of Pokemon Go destroyed the previous speculation. Representatives of the well-known company stated in a Twitter post that Pokemon Go will still be implemented to Apple Watches.
Rene Ritchie at iMore also argued that the idea of launching Pokemon Go for Apple Watch did not go to waste. He believes that Niantic and Apple are more concerned about the fact that they need to make sure the integration of the game with the Apple device will be accurately done because they do not want to disappoint their fans.
This innovative idea of making Pokemon Go available for playing on Apple Watch is bound to offer users the possibility of using their favorite game in a similar way they used a Pokemon Go Plus wristband which was launched last summer. This technology provides players with the comfort of using the game while constantly being aware of their surroundings and avoiding looking at the screen of their smartphones.
Currently, this app is equipped with a threadbare ramification on the Apple Watch, displaying how far the player should walk to hatch an egg. What is more, gamers can even gather items from PokeStops by directly using their Apple Watch, without the need to use their smartphone. The main screen of the device will display the current level of the player, and XP left to reach the next level. The previous announcement claimed that Pokemon Go would be available on Apple Watches before the end of 2016.
Unfortunately, even if fans are eager to know more details, Niantic developers did not offer any updates on the approximate launch of the revolutionary interface. Fans should be thrilled to find out that Pokemon Go is currently available for free on the iOS App Store.
