Niantic Labs developed the Pokemon Go Plus wearable and it will be released on September, 16. The gadget is similar to a smartwatch and vibrates when Pokemon are near the player. It was supposed to be released at the end of July, but Nintendo decided to launch it now, without explaining their decision. They also apologized to customers who pre-ordered it and promised the wearable will be available next week.
Moreover, it seems that Apple has its own smartwatch for the app and it will be released soon. Apple’s officials said that the gadget is almost ready for all those who love to play the popular game. Niantic hopes that the Pokemon GO Plus wearable will help them get more users after many people decided not to play the game during last month. The app has 45 million users in July and there were only 30 million of them left in August. Of course, some people would say that Pokemon GO is doing good, as most of the games do not have this number of users in the first month after they are released. However, Niantic is expecting more of its most popular game.
How this gadget is going to work? You will keep your phone in your pocket and do your activities. When you are passing near a PokeStop or there is a Pokemon close to you, the wearable will illuminate. This brings a lot of benefits for the users. First of all, you will not have to use your phone all the time, which will be good for your battery. Moreover, you will be able to do more activities while catching your favorite Pokemon. It will be easier for gamers to use it, no matter where they are and no matter what they have to do in that moment.
We are expecting more players to use the app when Pokemon GO Plus wearable will be launched. Many people are not playing the game because it is difficult for them to use the phone all the time, especially when they are on the street. This gadget will help them and make the game more interesting. What gadget do you think it will be better: that developed by Niantic or the Apple Watch?
