If you were waiting for the GTA 4 update, we have some bad news for you. This patch will bring some serious changes in the game’s beloved playlist. Rockstar removed a huge list of songs from the radio stations, and it seems that even some of the most popular ones were kicked out. A complete list of these songs has already gone online.
Landmark songs will disappear from GTA 4
The GTA 4 developers have been teasing an update for the game, and the patch is already available. Apart from a few generic changes, it turns out the patch will remove a large number of songs you could play on the in-game radio stations. One Reddit user, TransAmConnor, has posted a full list of all these songs.
Of course, there were many reactions to this sad piece of news. Among the removed songs, there were a lot that players really enjoyed listening to. Here are a few examples of the most popular titles that you won’t listen to in GTA 4: Evil Women from Electric Light Orchestra, Fascination from David Bowie, Stylin’ from Papoose, Crackhouse from Lil Wayne, or Heaven and Hell from Black Sabbath.
The choice came after the song licenses expired
However, the song which caused the biggest sadness was the game’s own intro song. Schweine from Glukoza was a fan favorite, and it has become a landmark for GTA 4. A lot of players expressed their heated disappointment and critiques for such a sad decision.
The GTA 4 developers started removing songs from the game two weeks ago. This happened because their licenses expired, and they were no longer allowed to leave them in the game. Instead of renewing the licenses, Rockstar chose to purchase new songs. This brought the anger of some players, as they wanted to preserve the initial feeling of the game instead of a fresh touch.
