Samsung Galaxy S3
The Samsung Galaxy S3 seems to have made a name for itself. In 2012,the phone was voted phone of the year by T3 Gadget Awards. This phone is no ordinary cell phone. It has a resemblance of a crossover in which it displays characteristics of both a cell phone and a tablet. The 4.8 inch screen makes it easy for users to view the high graphic features.Even with its big screen display, the device is not weighty. The body on the S3 is very slim and only weighs 133 grams that rivals some of its competitors.
While the iPhone may have Suri on its side, the Samsung Galaxy S3 utilizes its new feature S Voice. The service for S Voice may be a little flighty if your signal is low.The operating system that runs the Galaxy S3 is called ice cream sandwich otherwise known as the popular Google.Very similar to the Galaxy Nexus, you can bring up the apps you have used recently,as well as place some of the icons you enjoy on the home screen.
Other cool features include the Social Tag which recognizes people’s photos and matches them up with the photos in your contacts. You can also use Wi-Fi to send files from one Galaxy S3 to another. This may be useful for business professionals in the workplace who tend to be on the go a lot.The camera is the same as its previous version, so no upgrade there.Regardless, with all the other features incorporated on the S3,many users will be happy to choose it over some of its counterparts.
iPhone 5
Apple is known for making great products, especially when it comes to any version of the iPhone. With the iPhone 4,there was less competition that could compete with what Apple had in store for users. Now,there are several other devices that are just as great. The iPhone 5 had a lot of work to do to gain
popularity over the other devices on the market and it has definitely improved. Now,operating under the iOS 6 operating system, the iPhone 5 is faster.Once you pick up the phone you may also notice a difference. The iPhone 5 is lighter than both the Galaxy S3 and the Nexus 4.This is great for those who do not like the bulky and plastic-like feel of the other devices. The iPhone 5 also captures a sleeker look with the glass strips on both ends of the face. The bigger screen is helpful for users, but it still does not compare to the size of the Galaxy and Nexus.
Other features that may or may not be liked include the rotating screen. This can come in handy when trying to view widescreen images, but if you move the phone slightly diagonal, it can rotate on you without warrant. One of the biggest differences with the IPhone 5 compared to the Galaxy and Nexus is the app store. You have many more apps to choose from with Apple than you do with Android. There are some apps that you would find on both, but many that only appear in either the Apple app store or the Android app store.Additionally, scrolling through apps is much easier with the swipe of a finger side to side. The apps can be deleted much easier than on the other two devices making them much more manageable.
Google Nexus 4
Not quite as popular as the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S3,the Google Nexus 4 still manages to give off some great features for those looking to make the purchase. What the Nexus 4 does well with is the price.Much less expensive than its counterparts, the Nexus 4 is much cheaper to obtain. The 4.7 inch screen also helps give it a boost up.The look of the Nexus is much classier than the Galaxy but maybe not as sleek as the IPhone. The keyboard is similar to the other two devices in that it pulls up and goes away as needed. The Nexus is much more basic than the IPhone 5 and Galaxy S3,but it does
provide many great features for its reduced price.Users who want all the perks of having a great smart phone with a lower price will find this phone to be useful.
With the Nexus 4 coming out later than the IPhone 5 and Galaxy S3,it had a lot to live up to in order to sway customers from the other two devices. While,it does not feature as much as the other two devices, users can find many ways to benefit from the phone. The IPhone remains popular and with its
new version, users can see a bigger change in the device than they did with the 4S version. The Galaxy S3 takes the reign in popularity for 2012.It will be interesting to see which phone prevails for the New Year as each phone works hard to give users what they are looking for.
