Galaxy S4 Mini, the latest buzz surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S4 is that there are at least three variants that the company is looking to introduce in the coming days. This includes the Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S4 Zoom and the Galaxy S4 Activ. All three are likely to be released during the third week of July. A formal announcement towards this is expected in the upcoming CITIA event that starts in May 20 – 23.
SamMobile though is claiming it is better informed with the launch dates. As per the site, the Galaxy S4 Mini will be launched on July 14th and is likely to feature a smaller 4.3 inch QHD display, Exynos 5120 Quad-Core/Dual-Core Processor along with an 8 megapixel camera. The S4 Mini will also be endowed with many of the software features of its bigger cousin though in essence, it will be a paired down version of the S4.
A for the Galaxy S4 Activ, it will be the version that is resistant to water and dust even in the absence of any external casing. This will be the rugged version of the smartphone and will enable it to compete with the current Sony flagship device, the Xperia Z. Extensive details are missing at this point though the smartphone has been spotted featuring a metallic cover sporting an orange color scheme. The S4 Activ is also pegged to be released in July.
Coming to the S4 Zoom, the smartphone, as it name implies, will boasts of an enhanced shooting ability and is designed for the shutterbugs amongst us. The S4 Zoom is expected to be a cross between the S4 and the Samsung Galaxy camera. The device is rumored to include a 16 megapixel camera and will come with a 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED display. The smartphone will offer 8 GB of storage along with support for microSD cards for more storage of upto 64 GB. Other features the S4 Zoom is expected to come with include WI-FI, Bluetooth, GPS along with Android Jelly Bean as the OS. The S4 Zoom is expected to be launched in June itself.
