Blackphone is a state of the art piece of technology, extremely advanced in security features and highly adaptable to consumer’s needs when it comes to privacy. Last year, Silent Circle, a discrete manufacturer, has released its Blackphone Handset. The phone was one of the first security focused devices which became somewhat successful and now the second piece will roll out soon. Silent Circle took a chance to announce the new release at the MWC 2015 event.
We have been informed about the specs of the upcoming model but a certain price and a release date haven’t been announced yet. However, officials have stated that BlackPhone2 can be preordered ahead of its September release.
Blackphone looks exquisitely elegant and it was the first Android phone aimed towards those who want to hold on tight to their security and privacy rights. The phone is designed with encryption and special software and offers users the unique ability to be at a safe and sound place from the prying eyes of hackers.
Blackphone 2 has some quite entertaining specs, namely a wide display, of 5.5 inches. Its resolution has been established to 1080 pixels. In terms of software, Blackphone offers a yet unknown 1,7GHz octa-core processor, which will most likely be a Qualcomm Snapdragon. Last year they designed their first model with a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 4i. In terms of RAM memory, the phone offers 3GB.
Users will also benefit from a MicroSD slot included for extra storage, while the entry-level amount of built-in storage has increased to 32GB, compared to the previously released item, which only had 16GB of extra storage.
Although this is a very serious, privacy driven piece of technology, you can have more than decent selfies, as one of the most important aspects of the phone is the camera performance, which was described as paramount. The rear camera has 13 megapixels performance, up from 8 megapixels, embodied in the previous model. The front facing camera will remain at 5 megapixels.
In terms of battery capacity, Blackphone 2 has a 3,600 mAh pack and a quick charge 2.0 capacity, an extremely important feature for those constantly on the go. We don’t know yet about network functions but no serious changes are expected in this matter.
Blackphone 2 is one of the most special handsets one can presently find on the market, offering amazing features and most of all, enhanced privacy. Privacy starts to become increasingly controversial, as hacking systems and even tech companies have started to gain large amounts of money from privacy thefts. The security focused Blackphone 2 will roll out in September in the pre-sale system and we cannot wait to get our hands on the new piece of tech.
