For US consumers, the original release date of May 25th has been rescheduled to May 29th. Canadian customers were allowed to place pre-orders from the beginning of May.

Though Sony has mentioned about the remarkable pre-order sales of the tablet, it did not reveal any numbers to comprehend the exact picture. Sony’s Z-series of smartphones and tablets have an astounding success record, meaning that the Xperia Tablet Z will follow the same line.
Given the premium features, the pricing seems appropriate, with the price tag of $499 for the 16GB version and $599 for the 32GB version.
