Summer is almost here and we can’t wait to leave behind the awful moody winter we’ve gone through and cool ourselves with the heavenly breeze that comes from our air conditioner on hot summer days (and nights). Unfortunately, such luxuries come with a price. A high one showing on our electrical bill.
Luckily for us, there’s a new gadget in town and that is Aros smart air conditioner. This special air conditioner, unlike our common ones, is smart. It helps us evaluate the budget and usage by monitoring the energy consumption.
The Aros smart air conditioner is a collaboration between Quirky (a website for inventors) and General Electric. The Aros air conditioner blows the air up, unlike many air conditioners that blow it forward. By blowing the air up it increases the air circulation in the room, heating or cooling more efficiently. It has a buttonless control panel instead it features touch sensors that can switch between 3 fan speeds and a cooling capacity of 8000 BTU.
The coolest thing about the Aros smart air conditioner is that you can control it with your smartphone either via Android or IOS app called Wink. This allows the air conditioner to track your location by GPS, meaning that Aris will turn itself on if it senses that you’re getting close to home.
Aros Smart Air Conditioner Other Features
By controlling it through your smartphone you will always know what temperature Aros is set at and you can also adjust it from where you are. You have the possibility to schedule the temperature in the morning when you leave home based on the weather forecast.
Aros smart air conditioner cost $300 and it’s available for pre-order on Amazon and it will begin shipping starting May. So if you want to change your old A/C and try something more sophisticated, Aros smart air conditioner might just be that.
