Galaxy Note 3 Release Date to Feature Advanced Camera Features

July 8, 2013 By Micheal Baptiste Leave a Comment

Advancing smartphone technology is on the verge of incorporating cameras that will meet the performance levels of standalone digital cameras. Samsung is also contributing much to the trend, as evident from reports that its Galaxy Note 3 on it’s release date will come with an improved camera, featuring optical image stabilization (OIS) capabilities and shutter functionalities.

samsung-galaxy-note-3

ETNews reports that the Galaxy Note 3’s rear camera will have a 13MP sensor and feature OIS capabilities. OIS technology, which is widely used in mobile devices, reduces blurring caused by motion while capturing images or shooting videos. Note 3’s 13MP camera may allow users to edit pictures with the S Pen. A 3x optical zoom is also under consideration, but it could be rejected because it may increase the thickness of the device, affecting its slim profile.

With the added camera features, Galaxy Note 3 will definitely be a powerful handset. The device is expected to sport a 6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, 3GB RAM and Samsung’s proprietary processor, i.e., the 8-core Exynos 5 Octa chip. The GPU is supposed to have 8 cores, making it all the more powerful.

True, smartphone cameras cannot supplant point-and-shoot digicams, but they are increasingly used as the primary camera. The Nokia’s PureView and HTC’s UltraPixel technologies are widely acclaimed camera technologies in the smartphone industry.  Latest technologies correct motion-induced issues at the lens or sensor level.

Samsung’s current flagship, the Galaxy S4, is touted for its camera enhancements. The soon-to-be-launched Galaxy S4 is basically a camera phone likely to feature a 16MP sensor and 10x optical zoom. Samsung’s Android-based Galaxy Camera describes its proficiency in camera technology. So, it is not surprising to see enhanced camera features in the Galaxy Note 3 likely to be unveiled at the Germany IFA conference scheduled for September.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Release Date expected to bear lower Price tag

July 5, 2013 By Brandi McCants Leave a Comment

With new devices continually thronging the mobile market, manufacturers are forced to explore new strategies to keep pace. Analysts monitoring Samsung, the largest smartphone maker, have been pondering about the tech giant’s tactics to gain fervor for its much-sought Galaxy Note 3. Recent reports say that release date of Galaxy Note 3 will offer a low introductory price tag to stand out in the competition.

The report estimates the most favorable pricing as $299, the launch price of Galaxy Note 2 in the U.S. last year. However, consumers can expect such a low price tag only from carriers offering the device at subsidized prices under a contract.

Samsung-Galaxy-Note-3

What about the unlocked version of the Galaxy Note 3? An unsubsidized option will by all means be more expensive. Currently, Asian retailers offer the unlocked version of Note 2 from $500 onwards. A favorable price range for the unlocked version of Note 3 is estimated to be $350 to $400. It is based on assumptions that the manufacturing cost of Galaxy Note 3 is almost equal to that of the Galaxy S4.

Market watchers were taken aback by Samsung’s performance in the tablet market this year. The Galaxy Tab series set off a revolution, equipping Samsung to compete with Apple.  Right now, some of the potential intimidations for the 6-inch Galaxy Note 3 are iPhone 6, HTC T6 and Nexus 5.

Therefore, there are fair chances that Samsung will resort to a reasonable price tag to push its third generation Galaxy Note. The device is likely to emerge in September, at the IFA event in Germany. Given Samsung’s crowd-pulling ability, many expect a dedicated event for the Note 3 launch. In fact, rumors draw attention to an event titled “Episode 2” to launch the tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Release Date – Arrival imminent

June 29, 2013 By Micheal Baptiste

Speculations about the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 got some more fuel after a recent report stating that the device appeared on the Samsung’s Kazakhstan website. The report, which seems to confirm the imminent arrival of Galaxy Note 3, comes from Techtastic, which spotted a listing of the device along with a few other anticipated Galaxy devices on the VIP section of the website.

Techtastic revealed a screenshot of the aforementioned VIP page showing the unannounced Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4 Zoom, Galaxy Tab 3 10.1, plus existing devices like Galaxy S4 , Galaxy S3, Galaxy Grand and Galaxy S2 Plus. The page seems to have been modified after Techtastic’s screenshot, as the unannounced devices no longer appear on it.

Samsung-Galaxy-Note-3

Among the rumored specifications, the Galaxy Note 3 will come with a 5.99-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display having a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a 13MP rear camera, 2GB RAM, and 16GB/32GB/64GB built-in storage. The OS is either Android 4.2.2 or the soon-to-be released Android 4.3. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor is likely, but many expect Samsung’s new Exynos Octa 5 processor. Perhaps, the Galaxy Note 3 will come in both processor versions like the flagship Galaxy S4.

Feature-wise, the Galaxy Note 3 is likely to be similar to the Galaxy S4. Both will have the same TouchWiz version. An edge-to-edge screen and a suite of new S Pen applications are among other expectations. Qualcomm’s LTE-capable microprocessors and the latest Android OS are expected to be strong selling points for the new phablet.

While most rumors expect the Galaxy Note 3 to launch in September at the IFA 2013 at Berlin, others emphasize the possibilities of a dedicated event, as Samsung did for the Galaxy S4, Mega and the Note 10.1. With the London Samsung Premier event around the corner, speculations point to a June release as well.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Release Date – Rumored to Continue With the Same Design Philosophy

May 22, 2013 By David Crozier Leave a Comment

Samsung is often accused, and justifiably so of not doing much to push the mobile market in some new direction as far as design is concerned. Case in point, the new Galaxy S4 which might come along with tons of innovative features but is still encased in a cheap looking plastic body.

Also there is no denying the fact that we have grown so very familiar with the design by now. What seems amply clear is that Samsung is just not willing to take any form of risk in the design aspect of their devices including the much talked about Galaxy Note 3 phablet.

Galaxy-Note-3

In April of this year there were rumors about the Note 3, which was in the coming, to feature a flexible display. The rumor was short lived though as soon thereafter, what seems almost confirmed is that Samsung will not be using any sort of flexible display on the Note 3. Samsung followers were however yet enthusiastic that the design of the Note 3 would be different and also the material used for the Note 3 would be of premium quality.

Samsung lovers are going to be really disheartened as there is confirmed information of Samsung not even bringing about any change to the design or material used as they fear the new design may not be liked by the consumers. It all finally boils down to the Note 3 being similar in look and feel as the SGS4 model.  Samsung is also apprehensive of its ability to get that many metal body prepared before launch time to effect the change being discussed about in quality. As far as the release dates go, the Note 3 phablet can now be expected to be released somewhere in the third or fourth quarter of this year.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Release Date to Reveal Features of the same plastic design

May 20, 2013 By Brandi McCants Leave a Comment

Previously, rumors indicated that Samsung is experimenting with metal chassis, which it will be finally implementing in its upcoming Note 3. But now all such rumors seem to have gone down a level below. Three layouts were chosen by Samsung for its Note 3, a pattern similar to that of S4, a metal chassis and some absolutely new framework.

Reportedly, Samsung considers S4’s design as flexible and it won’t turn off existing Samsung customers. Likely, Galaxy Note 3 would be a larger variant of Galaxy S4. Sources reveal that Note 3 will feature a slim bezel, 13 MP rear-facing camera and 2MP front facing camera. The device will run on Octacore processor featuring quad core Cortex A7 1.6 GHz and quad core Cortex A15 1.9 GHz.

samsung-galaxy-note-3

It is expected that Note 3 will possess an enhanced UI. A chrome-like band that encircled the entire surface perimeter of S4 was confused as metal. But it is simply metal-like and not metallic. S3 featured a similar metal-like band that cased only its top surface perimeter. Samsung might utilize plastic frame with similar appearance to brush aluminum in its Note 3.

The 5.99 inches HD AMOLED display of Note 3 differentiates it from Samsung’s current flagships. SamMobile says that the shortlisted designs for Note 3 including the metallic chassis were out but it has chosen to follow out the similar plastic pattern as in S4. Samsung always manages to veil its designs until the final launch date.

However, probably Samsung will implement a metal-like appearance with premium plastic materials in Note 3. The plot sounds interesting as at least it will render a satisfactory sensation to customers over their expenditure of $200 on the device. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will release in September, but before that, two variants of Samsung Galaxy Mega will hit the shelves in late May and early June.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Release Date may not Feature Flexible Display

May 20, 2013 By David Crozier Leave a Comment

That Samsung is into hectic preparation to launch the next gen Galaxy Note 3 is all too well known. That it’s coming in the second half of the year is also almost a surety. Also, with the hype surrounding the smartphone or phablet (whichever way you look at it) already aiming for the sky, it should come as least surprising the sheer amount of rumors and speculations surrounding the device which are reaching frenzied proportions. Interestingly, many of the rumors do seem quite reasonable while some seems to come out straight out of a sci-fi film.

samsung-galaxy-note-iii-unbreakable-display

Take for instance the case of the phablet that many claimed will come with a flexible display. The technology has already been showcased by Samsung at this year’s CES event. However, showcasing a technological breakthrough is one thing while integrating it successfully into a product for a commercial release is an entirely different ball game. It’s no wonder then that chances are overwhelmingly in favor of the Galaxy Note 3 coming with a more conventional display than something as futuristic as a flexible display. And it’s a Super AMOLED display that analysts believe will end up on the final thing and not a LCD screen as the latter allowed for a better S Pen experience.

Other rumors concerning the Note 3 claim the device will be provided with another dose of size enhancement as was seen on the previous two iterations of the Galaxy Note. As such, heady rumors on this claim it’s a 6 inch display that the Note 3 will come equipped with, which will make it the first smartphone from Samsung to feature a 6 inch display.

LG too had showcased flexible displays at various tech events which were followed by rumors of it making it to its flagship devices. That none of that materialized is all too well known.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Relase Date to Feature Better S-Pen Experience

March 19, 2013 By Brandi McCants Leave a Comment

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is all set to make an appearance and the release date in the coming months, opening the next chapter in Samsung’s book. We have already seen plenty of rumors and leaks relating to Samsung Galaxy S4 in the past. It is no surprise to see tongues wagging about the particular device too that is yet to hit the shelves.

The upcoming phablet is expected to arrive with a superior variant of the already announced CPU or the new Exynos 5 Octa processor. Perhaps it will feature larger than 5.5 inch display and the tech giant is already talking about a 6.3-inch screen size. But the latest rumors seem to center around the S-Pen.
galaxy-note-iii
It is no brainer that Samsung is sure to work on improving the S-Pen experience on its upcoming device. Nevertheless, speculations are flying high as to how exactly the Korean manufacturer improves the S-Pen experience. One good option could be the use of LCD display instead of an AMOLED. There have been some evidences of Samsung planning to pair up the S-Pen and LCD panel, as it was in the case of Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet. Perhaps, we will see the same grouping in the Galaxy Note 3.

The 6.3-inch screen size feature is hinted because of the new smartphone accessory game pad that is meant for 4 to 6.3 inches smartphone. This has led to many fans speculating that the Note 3 will have a bigger screen display. But Samsung still continues producing OLED panels for the large tablets. So, the Note 3 might arrive with a bigger 6.3-inch LCD display.

We have seen Samsung focusing on using OLED products in tablets, high end smartphones and flexible displays, but it has been confirmed by the tech giant LCD is better for the S-PEN experience. S Pen provides more accurate and faster input than conventional stylus.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Release Date – Features, Specs And Esstential Details

February 19, 2013 By Micheal Baptiste 1 Comment

With all the tech talk and rumours focusing on Samsung’s Galaxy S4 smartphone, we could be forgiven for forgetting that the Korean company has another blockbuster device on the market in the shape of the Galaxy Note 2. When all the dust settles and the Galaxy S4 is launched we will all turn our attention to the Note 3, and will want to know everything about the new handset, which will be coming this year.

We thought we would get in early and bring you some info on what we already know about the Galaxy Note 3. The Galaxy Note range (including 2011’s original Note) has redefined smartphones in many ways. The large screen and form factor has made the “phablet” market viable, where phones that are big enough to be used as tablets but small enough to be pocket smartphones are popular. So much so that Sony and LG are releasing phablet devices as flagship handsets.

So what do we think we know already about Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3? Firstly Samsung is likely to stick to a yearly cycle for Note releases. The Note 2 launched in September 2012, so we fully expect the Korean company to roll out the Note 3 around the same time this year, so expect it to land late Q2 or early Q3. This later release will also allow it to compete with the iPhone 5 S, and the upcoming Sony Xperia Z and LG Optimus Pro G.
tech-samsung-exynos-5-processor-unveil-2
In terms of specs, we would not be surprised to see Samsung’s new octo-core Exynos 5 Octa chipset that was revealed at CES in January used for the Note 3. This processor outpaces both the iPad 4 and iPhone 5, at least in tests, and we fully expect to see it in the Galaxy Note 3.

Sony’s Xperia Z and the Optimus Pro G from LG will both pack 13-megapixel cameras, and we can predict that Samsung will at least match that with the Note 3, although we would not be shocked to see them better it. Another thing we can definitely expect to see is a full HD screen, while slimming down the Note 2 will also be in order.
