Apple iPhone 6 New Rumors – Round Edges And Curved Glass Display

April 29, 2014 By David Crozier Leave a Comment

iphone 6 rumors The world’s most awaited phone, the iPhone 6 is a source of endless rumors and presumptions. Techies everywhere are assuming and presuming the specifications of Apple’s upcoming candy. The iPhone 6 new rumors revolve around the design and how will it really look like. The latest rumors say Apple’s next gen iPhone could have rounded edges and a slightly curved display.

These rumors are said to come from reliable sources and say that the new iPhone will depart from its previous models in terms of straight edges, as seen the popular iPhone 4 and iPhone 5. The new iPhone will have rounded corners and unlike the iPhone 5s, it will be covered in an all-aluminum design. This could mean that Apple is planning to incorporate important changes that will move away from the antenna layout. Some believe that they will position the radio in different locations.

These past months there have been many reports indicating that the new iPhone may come with rounded edges but only a few mentioned the fact that the phone will feature a curved glass display. Last December the news was that Apple is working on two iPhone that will have large curved screens. Then, another rumor contradicted the last one saying that Apple will not use a curved display for their new devices. But that’s the problem with rumors, they contradict themselves leaving us wanting more. It’s a good thing we’re very curious by nature and we don’t settle with just one source of information. We have to know it all, if possible.

Apple iPhone 6 New Rumors – round edges and curved glass display, expected

Apple is said to unveil its new iPhone 6 later this year, more precisely in the third quarter of 2014. Rumors have it that they will release it in two versions, with two different sizes: a 4.7 inch and a 5.5 inch phone. The smaller version will probably be shipped in the third quarter of this year while the 5.5 version will be released later since there seems to be some challenges regarding the device’s display and the battery life.

Besides having a larger display, the iPhone 6 new rumors predict a thinner, bezel-free design and a faster A8 processor. Other features that may be included on the new iPhone are the Touch ID fingerprint sensor and an optical image stabilization mode on the upgraded camera. The upcoming device is expected to run on Apple’s latest IOS 8 operating system.

iPhone 6 Release Date Rumors Discussed, iPhone 5S Launch after iOS 7 on 20 September?

July 26, 2013 By David Crozier Leave a Comment

There is a huge controversy now raging about the iPhone version Apple intends to launch in the next few months. While it’s the iPhone 5S that is almost a surety to be launched sometime in September, there are those who claim Apple might also be working towards a release of the iPhone 6 version as well. Many of the smartphone experts the world over have even come out with a tentative date for the release of the future iPhone versions. There are wild guesses doing the rounds about the new iPhone 6 release date.

iphone

For one, Stableytimes is citing the fire sale now underway at Wal Mart for the previous generation iPhone versions as an indication of the most talked about iPhone 6 to be released soon. The iPhone 4S and the iPhone 5 can now be picked up from Wal Mart for as low as just $39 and $129. Many believe Wal Mart is up to clearing their existing inventory as they are expecting to get hold of the new iPhone sometime soon in the coming month and are therefore offering the old smartphones at such low prices.

Then there are those who claim the new iOS 7 operating system is almost ready for launch as has been stated by the developers testing it. Sources are also of the opinion that Apple has informed its retailers that they can expect the introduction of iPhone 6 in weeks followed by a market launch in a month. Some analysts are speculating the release date of iPhone 6 to be 27th September and have based their prediction on the fact that the iOS 6 was released exactly 100 days after it was announced in 2011. Therefore if Apple is to follow the same formula, then the iOS 7 can be expected to come out on 18th September. The iOS 7 happens to be the first major overhaul of the platform ever since its inception and there will be a hardware launch of equal importance to go with it, something that can’t be befitting to the iPhone 5S since it is a reworked version of the iPhone 5 device.

Then there are also those who believe Apple on the other hand is thinking of releasing iPhone 5S within two days of the release of iOS 7, that is on 20th September. To ensure there is less crowd frenzy at its stores, the iPhone 6 might be released on September 27th, just a week later. According to various other reports, iPhone 5S will be having a 4.3 inch screen whereas iPhone 6 will be having 4.7 or 5 inch screen to go with the current trend of launching smartphone having a bigger display. Then there is also the issue of Apple’s plans to include a fingerprint sensor in their future iPhone version and hence things could get delayed till December to ensure they have the technology in place before embarking on the launch of the device.

iPhone 6 Release Date Rumors – Availability, Display, Design and Features Discussed

July 14, 2013 By David Crozier Leave a Comment

The iPhone model that seems nearest to us right now is the 5S version though its iPhone 6 that too is turning out to be equally popular among the rumor mongers. Apple has had a great last quarter which saw the Cupertino based company push no less than a thumping 37.4 million units of the iPhone. What this means is that Apple is already past the ‘been there, done that’ thing with the current iPhone 5 and internally, the focus is certainly on the new upcoming models. And it’s here that the iPhone 6 seems to be turning out to be more significant than the iPhone 5S.

iPhone-6

Now before anyone starts getting carried away too much, the iPhone 6 is not likely to be released this year. Surely, all of this is still based on the slippery tracts of rumor world, though past experience has made us to believe it is the iPhone 5S that should be coming out this year itself. The iPhone 6 can be expected only in 2014 and it would come with a fresh design and bigger screen making the product even more attractive than its present siblings.

In view of this, what seems likely is that it is the iPhone 6 that most seems to be waiting for, particularly those who are still covered under contract with their carrier with the iPhone 5. This gives further credence to Apple delaying the release of the iPhone 6 to next year so that users who purchased the iPhone 5 get to live out the entire period of the contract. There does exist a clamor for the iPhone 6 which seems bigger than the iPhone 5S. In fact many want Apple to scrap iPhone 5S altogether and launch the iPhone 6 variant instead. While its only time that can tell whether it is the iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 that is coming our way, presented here are some of the biggest rumor stories concerning the future iPhone variant.

Availability

Vodafone had listed the iPhone 6 in their website for a short while. The device was supposed to be having 4G capability and the 12M tag was placed before the supposedly iPhone 6. That does not seem to be a correct information now and it could have been an iPhone 5S that was being displayed. It is the year 2014 that is considered most probable for the iPhone 6 to be launched as per most analysts. There is for example Glen Yeung from Citi Research who caps the release of the iPhone as early 2014.

For those who are planning to buy the iPhone 5S would therefore need to rethink if they consider the Glen prediction to be true. Buying a 5S this fall when the next iPhone 6 is to be released soon thereafter gives lot of subject to rethink.

Another analyst from Jeffries, Peter Misek predicts the release date of the iPhone 6 to be June 2014.  Ming-Chi Kuo, who is known for his analysis of Apple devices has not mentioned anything about the iPhone 6 and only talks about the 5S model.

Apple has learnt from the release of its iPad 4 which it had done in October that messing with a one year gap between each of its new launches could lead to angry consumers. Consumers who would have just purchased a model will surely be pissed off to find a newer one in the market soon thereafter. For these reasons the release of iPhone 6 in the market soon after the iPhone 5S seems quite remote.

Display

When the iPhone is released, we can be sure it would come with a higher resolution type than anything we have seen so far. Then of course there is also the aspect of the display gaining on size as well. The overall experience of the device would sure be worth all the word and wait.

Tim Cook at the AllThings D event spoke about the philosophy that Apple follows in its design or making of their devices. In his words the screen size was going to be something that makes the difference. He also left the attendees at the conference with a question of, whether there was market large enough for Apple.

On the display feature, there is a rumor from Wei Feng Network about the iPhone 5S to come equipped with a display that boasts of retina+ display, something that would double the pixel count than the present iPhone variant. This would be the stepping stone for the transition to the larger screen for Apple, if it is true. There have been reports in December 2012 also about the iPhone 6 being a larger sized display while also being of a higher resolution also.

Tim Cook has been known to speak aloud on the issue of how company like Apple dislikes coming up with devices that are thicker and heavier just to ensure that the screen is larger and crisper. This is what he terms as the trade off such company’s go for. Apple however would learn from LG that has announced a new display that measures 5.2 inches in size and is fully HD capable. All of this while measuring just 2.2 mm thick. Easier grip as LG claims and other such aspects makes this technology something which Apple could emulate.

Design

There are hints that Apple maybe contemplating such adaption’s to their devices coming out in 2014. They are, for one, coming up with their latest iOS7 OS which has all the ingredients embedded in it to support large screens. The iOS 7 slated for release this summer is a change that Apple must be bringing in to take them through the next few years.

The thin by width feature can also be expected to be incorporated in the iPhone 6. The talk of the phone coming with no home button on it would mean the larger screen feature is a surety. Being water resistant is another feature which the iPhone 6 could be coming with. There are phones from Samsung and Sony which has this feature and the phones have not traded off for thickness to include this feature. Various inputs about the iPhone 6 from Apple are giving new dimension to this much awaited smartphone.

Then there is also the fingerprint reader that would be either be incorporated on the iPhone 5S and if not so then for sure on the iPhone 6. This could add to the security aspect of the Apple phones of the future. So far as networking goes, the standard is going to be 802.11 ac Wi-Fi for the iPhone 6 and thereafter. A 64 GB as the standard storage capacity can also come with the iPhone 5S and then on. If not on the iPhone 5S then the iPhone 6 would sure have it. Support for NFC, which had been discontinued could be back. There is however some chance of this feature not there in case iOS 7 with its AirDrop feature and the usage of barcodes for payment systems by Apple is successfully implemented.

Such talks and rumors would only build up with time as this is a device that had many eyes and ears waiting to read and know about.

iPhone 6 Release Date 2013 – Coming in Fall on iOS 7

June 21, 2013 By Brandi McCants Leave a Comment

Now that the iOS 7 has been announced at the WWDC on June 10th, Apple is releasing the iPhone 6 alongside the iOS 7 this Fall. The release will most probably happen during the first half of October, in line with previous iOS and iPhone releases.

That kindles more excitement by removing obscurities surrounding the iPhone 6 release date. Analysts assure that the device will arrive by early November to make it to retail stores in time for the holiday season. The iPhone 5 arrived in late September last year.

iphone-6

A recent report from Reuters says that Apple could launch its iPhone in two sizes – 4.7-inch and 5.7-inch variants – to compete with the myriad of Android devices. While the large screen iPhone will contend with the Galaxy phablets, Apple is also releasing a cheaper iPhone to compete with the cheaper Android phones in the market. The budget model – priced $99 – will come in five or six colors, distinguishing itself from the high-end model that will come in the standard black-and-white.

Led by Jony Ive, Apple’s mobile OS team has worked hard to render a fundamental overhaul to the iOS 7, relative to its predecessors. The new design features a flatter Android-like look. The iOS 7 has new gesture control features, thinner fonts and new stock apps. Among the prominent advancements, the Control Center allows users to toggle to control Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and flashlight. The iTunes Radio and AirDrop are additional features.

The iPhone 6 will not only boast the overhauled features of the new iOS 7 but also incorporate other advancements, such as quad-core A7 processor, 13MP camera, fingerprint technology and Retina display with Sharp IGZO technology.

Apple’s next iPhone definitely has some pleasant surprises for its fans, in terms of features, size and looks. For now, its release is just waiting for the iOS 7 to get ready.

iPhone 6 Release Date along with iOS 7 on Labor Day by Apple?

June 18, 2013 By Micheal Baptiste Leave a Comment

The majestic iPhone 6 is likely to debut in the United States on the Labor Day, i.e. September 2nd, as deduced from latest logics. It appears that the iPhone 6 can make it to the market by the end of August provided Apple begins production right away to match the iOS 7 release date.

Test versions of the new iOS 7 indicate that it is far beyond the beta 1 level, so the platform will likely arrive in Fall. Assuming that Apple will take about three months to release its iOS 7, the iPhone 6 has enough time to debut by the end of August.

iphone-6

Apple’s press invites will come about a week before its launch event. The iPod touch will likely be one of the products launched alongside the iPhone 6. The event will also include additional details on the final version of the iOS 7. The products are likely to hit the market a few days later, after online preorders and release dates are set. Thereafter, the iOS 7 will be downloadable to current iPhones and iPads.

The iPhone 6 will feature an A7 quad core processor and iOS 7, the most significant iteration of Apple’s mobile operating system. The device is likely to come with 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options. Wireless charging is an expected feature that could address the current iPhone-battery’s quick draining issue.

Based on iPhone 6 concepts, many are expecting to see a fingerprint sensor as an additional security feature. There have been talks regarding an Apple patent about acoustic input for some functions. In other words, users can provide sound input that will be conducted through the shell to the system.

For now, iPhone fans will just have to follow the developments of iOS 7 to deduce the release date of the iPhone 6.

iPhone 6, iPhone Mini, iPhone 5S Relaese Date – Interesting projections

June 10, 2013 By Micheal Baptiste Leave a Comment

Though Apple’s moves are not quite predictable, keen analysts have observed that the tech giant is busy expanding its product base to introduce versatility. Analyst Brian White has specifically drawn attention to Apple’s entry into the phablet arena and the budget-conscious market.

The supposed phablet competitor is most probably the iPhone 6. Though exact specs are not available, White’s report stressed that it will be bigger than the 4-inch standard screens prevailing now. Recalling earlier rumors, the bigger display of iPhone 6 will use Sharp’s IGZO screen technology which will provide a thinner profile and better power efficiency. The device may feature a smart bezel, i.e,. a secondary display embedded around the primary display to add new controls. It may come with a 12MP camera and 64GB internal storage.

iphone-6

A remarkable projection about the low-cost iPhone drives curiosity. The report calls it iPhone Mini, which is supposed to emerge with a 3.5-inch screen similar to the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. The model is expected to come in five colors. In addition to Apple’s standard black and white, White mentioned pink and blue. The other color is likely to be red as evident from earlier leaks.

The iPhone Mini will debut before the iPhone 5S. Assuming that the iPhone 5S is coming in August-September, the Mini model is likely to come in July. So, it nullifies earlier reports which said that Apple is gearing up to release budget iOS devices, pointing to a cheaper iPad Mini slated for Q4 2013.

While there are no other specific details about the iPhone Mini, it is clear that the device targets the budget-conscious market, especially India and China. A Morgan Stanley analyst recently projected that the iPhone Mini will bear a maximum price tag of $399. Apple enthusiasts are waiting for the WWDC on June 10th to quell speculations and learn the truth.

iPhone 6 Release Date Concept – Curved Display Plus 3D Camera

May 29, 2013 By Micheal Baptiste Leave a Comment

With analysts forecasting a 2014 release date for the iPhone 6, tech geeks are letting their imaginations run riot in envisioning the features of the device.  The latest concept video from Ran Avni and Hassen visualizes an iPhone 6 with a curved display and a 3D camera.

iphone-6-3D-camera-concept

The concept is based on Apple’s patents pointing to experiments with curved displays and 3D cameras for dual image capturing. Reported prototypes of the iPhone 6 feature a 4.8-inch display, matching the display size of Samsung Galaxy S3. There are no specifications of a higher resolution or added rows of icons. The edge-to-edge display, featured in the video, renders a flat look, with the curved glass sitting atop.

Apple has a patent for multiple-camera technology based on 3D imaging hardware. Based on this, the concept incorporates dual cameras on the rear of the device. The rear is very much similar to the iPhone 5. However, the prospects of a 3D smartphone camera have yet to be analyzed though 3D movies have been widely received. Recalling HTC Evo 3D, the device was not that successful, and HTC did not release any 3D camera device again.

Comments on the concept video do not show much excitement. This is because the concept seems to have borrowed the features of other devices and is not really Apple-inspired. The “borrow” aspect is quite perceivable. For instance, at first glance, the video reminds viewers of HTC’s design aspects – the white borders along the large screen and metal design.

The iPhone 5S, expected in September this year, is most probably an intermediate upgrade rather than a major overhaul, leaving Apple fans to expect more futuristic designs from iPhone 6. Moreover, there is a lot of time for the launch, so it seems reasonable to expect more innovations.

iWatch Release Date to Company iPhone 5S or iPhone 6?

May 29, 2013 By Micheal Baptiste Leave a Comment

Apple’s rumored iWatch is making a lot of buzz at a time when Apple fans are busy speculating the release of the next iPhone and iPad. The latest buzz is that a new iPhone advertisement features someone wearing a smartwatch, sparking off rumors that Apple is hinting at its iWatch.

While Apple has said nothing about it, analysts are expecting iWatch to have a big role in raising revenue for the company, alongside the next iPhone. Recalling the release date of iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 last year, many are expecting the successors – iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 – release date could be in September-October this year. There are possibilities that the iWatch will accompany the new handsets.

iWatch-iPhone-advertisement

Sources are expecting the iWatch to come with the iOS 7, Apple’s latest mobile operating system, which is expected on the next handset. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that the iWatch will not debut until late 2014, giving the time, effort and resources required to create an iOS version for the smartwatch. Nevertheless, tech geeks are eagerly waiting for some news on the device at the forthcoming Worldwide Developers Conference.

Apple CEO Tim Cook, during the latest earnings call, said that the company is working on new hardware, software and services that will be introduced this fall and through 2014. Analysts are predicting that Apple has a big line of products for 2013, including upgraded Apple TV, iPads, iPods, iMacs, MacBooks, iPhones, and the supposed smartwatch, i.e., iWatch.

Apple is probably waiting till late 2013 to release its products because of production issues. Sources relate the issues to the departure of top executives from Apple’s China partner Foxconn, which handles mass production. Or, it is Apple’s tactic to maximize the sales of iPhone 5 released in 2012. Regardless, rumors about the iWatch release alongside other Apple devices are abounding.

iPhone 6 Release Date – Concept Video Leaks, Points Towards, Bigger 1080p Display, Waterproof Capabilities

May 23, 2013 By Brandi McCants Leave a Comment

A new video depicting iPhone 6 has emerged online, providing some new insight on the set of features that the new Apple smartphone could be seen coming with. While the device shouldn’t be expected before next year, it still is interesting to know what the future might shape up to be as far as the iPhone in its 6th iteration is concerned.

iPhone-6-Concept

To begin with, the device does look somewhat out of place with its design that is a deviation from the usual design theme that Apple has been following with its iPhone series so far. The video also reveals the device to be quite slimmer than its present iteration and possibly lighter too. The display is likely to be tweaked further to 1080p quality, something that is being referred to As Retina+ display. Apple’s Tim Cook though has refuted those claims but then, who knows, Apple might well pack a surprise here. Then there also are rumors of Apple might even contemplate a bigger 4.8 inch display for the iPhone 6.

While bigger and better display has been the norm that all smartphone makers have been conforming to off late, making them dust and waterproof too has emerged as a preferred feature that Apple might be seen implementing on iPhone 6. The current Sony flagsip, Xperia Z boast of water and dust proof capabilities while there is a Galaxy S4 variant in the making, the S4 Active that too will be equally rugged.

Release date of iPhone 6 is going to be next year but the video further reveals the iPhone 6 could be seen sorting LED notification lights, something that has been missing on the iPhone so far. Wireless charging is another feature that Apple could be seen adopting on the iPhone 6, or even the iPhone 5 as well. Other cool features the iPhone 6 could be seen sporting include front facing speakers a la HTC One, touch sensitive volume switch as well as a 13 megapixel rear facing camera.

iPhone 6, iPhone 5S updated release date and Specs with iPad Mini 2

May 21, 2013 By Micheal Baptiste Leave a Comment

There has been ample confusions about iPhone 5S and iPhone 6. iPhone 5S was supposed to release this summer, but probably Apple has decided to postpone its launch to autumn this year. Tim Cook indirectly stated that a new series of Apple gadgets will not hit the market until Fall this year. Possibly, iPhone 5S and iPad Mini 2 will hit the shelves this autumn around October.

Rumors highly direct to the fact that iPhone 6 will feature iOS 7. Formerly, sources also revealed that Steve Jobs dropped some instructions for the iPhone 6 that makes the sixth gen iPhone the last gadget from Apple Inc., in which Jobs was involved. Rumors reveal that iPhone 6 will be dynamically dissimilar to its predecessors and Apple is going to make it really special honoring late founder, Steve Jobs as his last memoir.

iphone-6

Sources reveal that iPhone 6 will possess a larger display of about 4.8 inches. The major anticipation among fans regarding sixth-gen iPhone is a larger screen, which also combines High Definition Retina display. The gadget is also rumored to feature an advanced fingerprint detector for enhanced security, 4G, NFC and 802.11 ac wireless networking.

Gesture controls and missing home button have also been a part of rumors regarding iPhone 6. There have been rumors about Apple using a secondary display in order to initiate a new series of illumined indicators, which would be efficient to morph into different controls for play and work. Productivity controls and illumined gaming may be facilitated on the front side of the bezel or on specific hind portions of iPhone 6.

A more interesting fact about iPhone6 is that it would be released in four different models including the 128GB variant, considering the fact that Apple already possesses a 128GB chip that it has implemented in its iPad. According to sources, Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 6 at WWDC 2014 around June.
