Pros

  • slim and portable
  • long-battery life
  • quality and durable

Cons

  • volume is a bit low

A Great Package with an Excellent Look (Lenovo tab 2 a10 review)

lenovo tab 2 a10 product image

The first stand-out part of the Lenovo TAB 2 A10 review is its stellar design. The model has an elegant blue polycarbonate shell, which gives it a sleek, modern look. Technology should always work first and foremost, but it helps when it looks good as well. The outer layer, combined with Lenovo's slick, silver logo on the back on the case, creates an incredibly refined and stunning package.

In addition to the back, the Lenovo logo sits in the bezel on the longer side of the tab 2. The excellent 8-megapixel camera (which will be discussed in further detail later on) slightly protrudes out in a comfortable and natural way, while the headphone jack lies next to the bezel and the 5-MP front camera.

You also get a USB 2.0 micro port tucked on the left edge next to the power switches, which are subtly placed. The microSD port is also hidden beneath a flap on the right side of the shell. This makes it easy to plug in and plug out without exposing any ugly tabs or openings.

Compact is the name of the game with the Tab 2, and all of the features packed into the compact device fit in the shell in an organic way. There is nothing worse than a clunky tablet. The Tab 2 makes sure everything comes together nicely. And you get it all in a 1.1-pound package that makes it great to carry around or use on the go.

Everything in Crisp, Stunning Clarity

The next part of this Lenovo Tab 2 A10 review is the display. This is one of the most important sections of any modern device because, regardless of what you use it for, you want everything to pop off the screen. The Tab 2 makes sure you view everything, from your emails to movies to social media, with incredible quality.

The 10-inch, 1920 x 1200 IPS display ensures that whatever you watch will always be sharp and in full, bright color. Everything that comes onto the screen is vibrant and in full detail. This makes the device a great option for both Netflix bingers as well as avid sports fans. Even people who simply use the Tab 2 for business or work will be impressed with the upgraded pallet and bright tones.

The device also has excellent brightness and can reproduce color better than other popular tech options within its same space. This may not be at the forefront of its abilities, but it is a welcome addition that adds an extra layer to the viewing process.

Stellar Audio for Show and Music Lovers Alike

lenovo tab 2 a10 audio

Of course, no matter who you are or why you want a tablet, the sound is always going to be important. Good quality speakers are vital for any modern media device. Anyone who enjoys movies and TV wants their favorites to come through crisp and clear, but music lovers also seek the best quality possible. This is the third part of the Lenovo tab 2 a10 review.

In the Lenovo Tab A10, all sounds come through the speakers with crisp quality and great balance. Many people may expect more affordable tablets to scrimp on the sound, but that is simply not the case here.

The reason this device is able to deliver amazing audio performance is the combination of the upgraded speakers and Dolby Atmos soundbar. That extra feature is mainly there to increase movie audio (which it does in a big way) but it also enhances all general sound coming from the device without degrading any audio.

Blending Software and Apps

The Tab 2 is an Android tablet, which means you get all of the features you would expect from any Android device. The model is equipped with the newest Android technology, which should serve most people's needs. It can also be upgraded as newer and more efficient systems come out.

Everything on the Tab 2 is about recreating the strong and dependable Android experience. To do that, Lenovo has removed any app bloat or unnecessary features that would never use. There is no reason to take up space with add-ons you don't care about. This decision keeps it lean and enables you to have the tablet you want.

However, that does not mean you get nothing with the basic package. The tablet comes stocked with a range of different features that you can tweak, shift, or use to your liking.

You get all the standard Google apps (Drive, Gmail, Play, Photos, Maps and others), Lenovo's stock apps (including Calendar, Camera, Music, Email, SYNCit HD cloud backup app and the SHAREit file transfer app), as well as useful third-party apps like Amazon Kindle, Evernote, and Kingsoft's Microsoft Office-compatible WPS Office suite. The office suite is particularly great for anyone who uses their tablet for business or more serious use.

All of this is powered by the MediaTek process, which ensures there is no annoying lag while scrolling or opening apps. Everything on the device helps generate a single smooth and cohesive experience. Another great part of the Lenovo tab 2 a10 review.

Top of the Line Performance

Another strong spot for the Tab 2 is the performance. The MediaTek, as discussed above, is incredibly strong, but it does not work alone. The quad-core processor comes with 2GB of RAM, which is great for listening to music, watching movies, and surfing the web. You can also play games or access your favorite apps without worry about stalling.

Speed is an incredibly important part of this system, and the tablet's power generates an incredibly fast response time. That means you can quickly move around your tablet with little to no resistance.

The extra power also makes sure that you can access and use the device's features at the same time. Most modern tablets are able to perform multiple functions at once, and the Tab 2 gives you that experience at a much lower price point.

It is easy to listen to music while you surf the internet or while you navigate between your favorite apps on the device. There is also special app-switcher navigation to create even less downtime and further streamline the entire process.

Of course, a tablet is not useful if it cannot hold all of the data you need it to. The Lenovo Tab 2 A10 comes with 16GB of onboard storage, which provides plenty of room for daily leisure or business.

However, as with so many parts of the device, that can be upgraded. All you need is an SD card and you can extend your memory to 64GB. Those type of customizable add-ons ensures you always get the experience you want, no matter how your life progresses. You may not need the space now, but that could change down the line.

High-Quality Pictures and Videos

As touched on above, another draw of the Lenovo Tab 2 is its incredible dual cameras. You get both front-facing and rear-facing options. That combination ensures you can either record and capture anything you want in stunning high-quality images.

The 8-MP rear camera is all about giving you excellent photos in extreme detail and incredible clarity. That then works alongside the front-facing camera, which allows you to capture selfies, to give you the ability to record all of life's best moments.

The front-facing camera also comes with a 5-megapixel sensor. This is a nice upgrade because it adds quality and reliability to your video calls, allowing them to come through in the best way possible.

However, the cameras do not operate on their own. Rather than just give you pictures, the Lenovo also comes with a few apps to complement them. One, in particular, is Picture in Picture. This feature enables you to take two photos at the same time. Then, you can place one in a polaroid-film frame.

Lenovo's Camera app also comes with the same "Face beauty mode" you expect on Android phones and tablets.

Those apps show off some of the Lenovo Tab 2's versatility and reveal what makes it so strong for both casual and more serious technological users. You can sit back and snap a few pics, but you can also use programs to take your photography to the next level.

Long-Lasting and Reliable Battery Life

Whenever you have a device with as many upgrades and features as the Lenovo Tab 2, you want to make sure you can use it as much as possible. The tablet meets you on that front with enough battery life to last you throughout the day.

This Lenovo tab 2 a10 review shows that the 7000mAh battery gives the device a ton of power and makes sure you never need to constantly look for an outlet or charger. The Tab 2 comes with a whopping 10 to 12 hours of battery power, putting it well ahead of other tablets on the market.

Nothing is more annoying than relaxing only to have your battery die or fall to red. Similarly, it is also a hassle to have to find an outlet for your charger. Never having to worry about such issues is a great bonus that adds extra ease to your life.

Choose Your Personal Configuration

You couldn't do a full Lenovo Tab 2 A10 review without discussing the device's numerous configuration options. Upgrades are a big part of technology in today's world. Not only do people like to personalize their devices, but they also want the option to constantly improve.

The Tab 2 comes with 32GB of flash storage, as opposed to the entry-level model's 16GB. Lenovo also offers a few useful accessories for the Tab 2, including a 16GB USB and micro USB flash drive (which can be purchased for $25). You can also get a $30, 5000mAh external battery for even more battery life.

Not everyone is going to upgrade their tablet, and not everyone is going to buy add-ons. However, the option to do so should a situation ever arise is an important choice to have when it comes to modern technology.

Great Options and an Affordable Price

The final reason to choose a Lenovo Tab 2 A10 over other models is because of its affordable price. As you can see above, this model can do what any other can do, and there are many areas where it goes beyond the call of duty.

Cheap tablets are not hard to come by, but cheap tablets that come with the complete package are. This Lenovo tab 2 a10 review gives you everything you could want without forcing you to break the bank or pay too much.

Impressive, Stylish, and Affordable

The Lenovo Tab 2 A10 is one of the best quality for cost tablets on the market. Not only does it come equipped with more traits than you could shake a stick at, but it also looks slick and feels great to use. There is something here for every person, and it perfectly complements all lifestyles.

This Lenovo Tab 2 A10 review shows why this model is such a great choice when searching for a cheap, reliable tablet. You get everything you want from a portable device, but you don't have to worry about going over budget. If you like games, movies, TV, this is a great choice. If you want a more serious business machine, this works as well.
