In the world of mobile devices and gadgets there is a continuous and ardent competition. As soon as a mobile tech giant releases something new, immediately another one follows with better features and a competing price. It looks like Philips has a new rival in the light fixture business. LG Smart Lamp will be rivaling with Philips Hue bulbs.
What sets apart the LG Smart Lamp from other light fixture devices you might ask? Well, for starters, you can control it using any device that runs on iOS 6.0 and Android 4.3 through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity. To use LG Smart Lamp you just need to download the app on your smartphone so you can make all the necessary adjustments like dimming the light or turning it on and off. Downloading the app on your mobile device also gives you some other cool features like Play Mode or Security Mode. With Play Mode the bulb from the lamp makes automatic adjustments on the brightness using the beats of the music you play on your phone. For example, if you listen to a fast beat song, the bulb will flash at a fast rate which creates a groovy party ambiance. For now, Party Mode works only on Android devices.
