Nokia has given us over the years many good, affordable phones. One of our personal favorite Nokia smartphone is the Nokia X presented at the 2014 Mobile World Congress where it received a lot of positive reviews and was a strong competitor for fancier phones like the iPhone or Samsung Galaxy smartphones. The latest news is that Nokia announced 3 new Lumia budget smartphones, the Lumia 630, Lumia 635 and Lumia 930 at the Microsoft Build.
One of the new Lumia smartphones is Nokia Lumia 930. It bears resemblance to the Lumia Icon which was launched in February for Verizon and features a 5 inch full HD display. The Lumia 930 has a wireless charging, a Snapdragon 800 processor (2.2 GHz quad-core) and 20 MP PureView camera that comes with Carl Zeiss optics. The cool thing about the Lumia 930 is that it comes with a new feature called Living Images Images which will make photos look like GIFs, animating them. This is a new feature for the Nokia smartphones and in combination with the Nokia Story Teller app you can create slideshows with both still photos and moving images.
Another new Lumia smartphone is the Lumia 630. This is actually an updated version of the popular Nokia Lumia 520 which is one of the best selling budget smartphone around the world. the 630 has a dual SIM for multiple SIM cards and it’s a 3G phone. Nokia Lumia 635 is the last of the new Lumia smartphones revealed. It features a 1,2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, it runs on Windows 8.1 and will be launched in the US in July.
New Lumia Smartphones – pricing
The new Lumia smartphones (the 630 and 635) will cost less than $200 without a 2 year contract involved and we believe they might become the most popular budget smartphones on the market.
