We love apps. They’re such cool inventions that we have to have it all. Especially if you can download them for free on your phone. It’s the case of the new Nokia Refocus camera app that was available exclusively for the Nokia Lumia phones that have high-end PureView cameras. From now on this great little app can be downloaded on every lower-end and mid-range devices that run on Windows Phone 8 OS.
What does Nokia Refocus camera app do? It’s very simple: the new app lets you take a picture and then allows you to focus or blur it by tapping on a particular point or object in the background so you can add cool perspective effects on you pics. The Nokia Refocus camera app works best for close-up pictures of objects, especially if you have more objects in the same picture that are at different distances in the background. This will enable you to show the depth levels of the photo.
With the new app you will also get some cool tools like “All in focus” where you can focus multiple points in the picture simultaneously and with “Color Pop” you have the option to highlight colored objects by changing the background to black and white or you can also do it the other way around. The effect is pretty cool.
Nokia Refocus Camera App – other features
Another great feature that you get with the Refocus app is that you can share the photo with any of your family and friends via messages, Twitter, Facebook or email. The receiver has to have a SkyDrive user account because the Refocus app uploads the photos to SkyDrive and then it creates a link that you can share with anyone. It’s not even mandatory that your friends should have Nokia Lumia phones or even the Refocus app on their phones to play with the pictures themselves by changing the focus.
Nokia Refocus camera app is 6MB and runs on Windows Phone 8.1 and 8.0.
