There has been the Optimus G2 from LG which has been talked about in the recent past. Leaks and rumors about the device mention that it would be LG’s flagship gadget. The phone when it finally arrives may or may not have the Optimus label. There is also possibility of the phone being eventually referred to as the “LG G2”. Not surprisingly, LG has not confirmed anything about the phone as yet which includes even its existence or release date. There is however an LG centric event scheduled in New York for August 7. There is high expectation and logical at that, for LG to make an announcement regarding this as yet undisclosed phone.
News received from other sources however indicates that the New York event is not where the world would get to know about the G2 from LG. This is where the SK Telecom network and its launch in Korea come to play. Samsung would get a feel of competition in the LTE class of operation from the G2 from LG when SK Telecom launches this product in July this year.
Whatever be the exact date for release of the G2 gadget, the third quarter of this year will surely experience lots of competition in the mobile market.
