Sony Xperia Z – the new member of Sony family
Sony Xperia Tablet Z, which has been recently revealed, is an impressive device that boasts of numerous high-end specs along with waterproof capabilities. Being one of the thinnest tablet and extremely light-weighted, the design is outstanding too.
Comparing with its predecessor
Sony Xperia Z is definitely more successful than its predecessor – the Xperia Tablet S, the later not being such a popular product from Sony in the previous year. Theoretically, the Tablet S wasn’t so bad; it was the practical experience that matters the most. The sales were immediately halted after the release of this tablet as the splash proof concept wasn’t effective at all, and the software was not up to the mark.
Due gift from Sony
Luckily, Sony has something to offer to those who happen to own the tablet. If you are one of the proud owners of the latest tablet from Sony, you might have already faced various software issues that are going against this latest gadget, random reboots and unstable network connections being some of them.
The much needed ‘gift’
On the other hand, Sony has every intention to update the device’s operating system from Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Some time ago the details were posted on Sony’s support page, but regrettably, the information has been hauled in the meantime for some unknown reasons.
Final Verdict
Now, this isn’t something that we would really like to see but one thing for sure, these unknown issues will affect the actual roll-out date of the new version of Android OS. The fact still remains the same with no release date that will definitely hamper millions of Sony users.
Honestly speaking, if Sony would’ve really wanted to try and fix its mistakes, this update should’ve been in the market long ago.
