Legendary Surface Book – MacBook Pro Battle

Legendary Surface Book – MacBook Pro Battle

The legendary Surface Book – MacBook Pro battle commences. It is just like any legendary brand battle, these two will be fighting to determine which one is the best, fastest, worthiest device that you might want to get your hands on. We have some big news for you, however. Before the battle starts and we see exactly what each one has to offer, we will be giving first place to the Surface Book.

There is no way to put it better. Why start a race if you know from the beginning that your engine is not able to take the heat? This is the MacBook Pro’s situation right here. Microsoft wanted to play the nice guy and claimed that their device has twice the firepower that the MacBook has. Still, playing nice could not concede the truth: the Surface is actually three times better than the MacBook. So let’s look into specifics.

The legendary Surface Book – MacBook Pro battle ended when people who tested the Surface Pro realized what they got their hands on. We need to mention this, however: the MacBook that was left behind is the 13 inch one. The 15 inch model is a totally different story. When you say MacBook 15, you’re already thinking about quad core CPUs, AMD graphics and a pretty beefy laptop.

Microsoft specifically targeted the 13 inch version because they knew that was the model they could beat. The 15 inch version is way too godlike for them. It’s as if you were putting an average PC next to an Alienware and started making comparisons. You could talk all you like, but the simple fact that you brought an Alienware into the discussion simply nullifies everything else.

In order to properly test the devices, some passionate PC nerds needed access to the MacBook Pro 13 released in 2015. Microsoft also provided their gear, without giving away too much information about the GPU, of course. The interesting thing is that they compared an i7-6600U MacBook with a Surface Book i5-6300u Skylake processor. And guess what? The Surface won.

Not only did the Surface win, it also gives us great insight that Microsoft have upped their technology ten times. You bring in one of the best processors on the market in a MacBook and compare it with a medium new processor in the Surface, which has a lower frequency, and the Surface Pro wins? Microsoft is definitely up to something.

So you do not only to keep an eye out for the Surface Pro, you also need to look out for the new Skylake processors. Microsoft is playing big games.

The Tablet Market Just Exploded

October 9, 2015 By Daniel Giordano Leave a Comment

The tablet market just exploded and there is little we can do but wonder what we could buy next.

The Tablet Market Just Exploded

How here’s an interesting choice? Will it be an iPad Pro, a Surface Book, maybe a Surface 4 Pro or an XPS 12? If there is something that Microsoft did very well, it was toying with buyers’ decisions about what tablet they should purchase next. The tablet market just exploded and there is little we can do but wonder what we could buy next.

It might seem like a trivial issue at first. What a bunch of geeks, right? Children are dying in Africa and people are wondering what tablets to buy. But the flow is actually a little more complex than that. There are people running around with laptops and phones all day long and a table would be of great use to them.

A tablet would enable to work better, earn more money, which they can also donate to special cases. But all bad jokes aside, getting a tablet could really come in handy. It’s easier to carry, you can multitask appropriately (even on the iPad which got the new iOS 9 with the back button) and it is also lighter. Better carry some more useful things in your bag than a laptop that you can replace.

There are certain jobs that require people to have a laptop on them almost 24/7. You can be a university teacher, manager, work in advertising or marketing or even a writer. Some people just need to stay connected all the time so that they see how the world goes round and so that they can make it go rounder.

So it all falls down to the buyers’ decision. The iPad pro is quite a nice purchase if you are looking for a big screen and you are fond of wireless keyboards. With the new iOS 9 back button add it is a lot easier to multitask. The rest of the decisions are quite “special”.

The Surface Book feels more like a laptop that it is a tablet. The Surface Pro 4 feels completely opposite than the Book. And the XPS 12 looks like it is a mixture of all previous models that we talked about. So the best and safest way to know what you want is checking them all out in a shop whenever you can. There is no better approach than the hands on one.

This is why the tablet market just exploded. If you do have any tips for buying one of these beauties, you have to let us know! Some of us are actually struggling with the decision and we are IT geeks ourselves. So any piece of advice would be useful, especially for our peer readers.
