Ubisoft to Release Zombi Survival-Horror for PS4, X-box 1, PC
Previously released for Wii U, ZombiU, the brilliant survival-horror game, is headed to PS4, X-box 1 and PC, announced as Zombi. Its return is scarier and more thrilling than ever!
Ubisoft confirmed that Zombi would be released on the above-mentioned gaming platforms on August 18.
Whereas it was launched on Wii U in 2012, the game will be optimized and enhanced for the newer hardware. But despite the changes, Zombi will provide the same gaming experience as the original Wii U version.
The first person survival-horror game is as intriguing as it gets. Set in London, as a result of a virus outbreak, the player gets to be in a random survivor’s shoes, but the special part is that the game does not end, whereas you, as the player, are able to continue the story from yet another survivor’s perspective, continuing where you left off.
It is clearly a gaming masterpiece, a thrilling experience, as it tangles with zombie fiction thoroughly, as Zombi developers have put an emphasis on your character’s supplies and the bag where these are kept.
About the weapons and ammo segment, the challenging aspect is that weapons are upgradeable with parts you find, whereas ammo is scarce, so firearms should be used wisely.
An excellent strategy is to use the guns for hordes and/or shooting explosive containers, for example. You can wipe out a zombie horde by taking them one at a time too, and killing them with the classic cricket bat.
A disturbingly provocative feature is that, once the initial character dies, the supplies are gone as well, unless the very next survivor finds your previously now-zombified self and defeats it.
Zombi will be rated M, meaning the content will generally be suitable for ages 17 and up. It may contain intense violence, blood and gore, and/or strong language.
Gaming Edge described it as
“a fantastically tense horror experience”,
whereas VentureBeat categorizes it as a
“triumphant return of the survival-horror genre.”
Concerning international reviews, Gamer.nl said that it’s a 9/10 game which would guarantee
“sweaty hands.”
Endgadget acquired the information that the game’s version for PC and consoles would exclusively provide single player or campaign mode, whereas the original version came up with the multi-player option, increasing the player’s odds of surviving in the game, by permitting him form a team with like-minded fellows their only goal being to destroy the zombie menace.
Ubisoft concluded that gamers will be brought to
“a new level of horror.”
