Before CES 2017 begins, Samsung announced that they would reveal their new curved monitor. The new CH711 quantum dot screen will thrill all gamers. The new model will be launched in two different sizes. The display will either measure 31.5 inches or 27 inches. Both versions will have a resolution measuring 2560×1440 (WQHD).
Nevertheless, Samsung is promoting the design of this innovative device. The company underlines the 1800R curve of the screen. The response time is of 1ms, displaying a 178-degree viewing angle. The curved monitor has a coverage of 125% of sRGB. Gamers will certainly have a pleasant gaming experience if they will purchase this type of screen. All the cables of the monitor are encapsulated in the base, the design being clean, with less clutter.
Unfortunately, Samsung did not manage to highlight the most significant aspects of the new curved monitor which will soon be launched. Customers are curious to know more details about the new device thinking if it will be worth buying. Users expected some information regarding refresh rates. What is more, Samsung should have informed the public whether the color is in 8 or 10-bit.
Specialists are analyzing the prospects, trying to decide whether a quantum dot is better than OLED, used by LG. They need to examine these different technologies to establish exactly which one is the most suitable one. Nevertheless, experts figured out OLEDs can face lag problems, whereas quantum dot curved monitor can quickly adapt to fast-changing colors.
Regardless of this characteristic, the refresh rate is critical, especially for gamers. For a more competitive game, they need a monitor which is equipped with a higher refresh rate. They would be disappointed if the update rate would be of 144, 120 or even 60Hz. Samsung did not announce the availability of its new device yet, and they did not share an estimative price either.
We are all anxiously waiting for CES 2017 where Samsung will unveil its revolutionary device together with many other new products, among which a new hardware. Those who are Samsung fans and were always grateful and satisfied when purchasing their products, they need to make sure they won’t miss out on the news which will be revealed at CES 2017, keeping up with the latest technology.
