FollowWe have all been hearing a lot about the Samsung Galaxy Tab Series 3 in recent news. But this doesn’t mean users have forgotten about the old and trusty Tab 7.7. One of the main reasons we have kept an eye on this tab is because Samsung had earlier promised that they were going to be releasing an Android Jelly Bean 4.1 update for it in the future.
The problem here is that we heard in March that the update might not come as the Exynos processor in the Tab 7.7 was having compatibility issues with Android Jelly Bean 4.1. This led to the postponement of the update’s release.
If you were one of the people that were disappointed because of this news, today is your lucky day. Finally, Jelly Bean 4.1 has gone live on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7.
Samsung’s latest operation system now comes to the Tab 7.7. Even though it isn’t the one used on its flagship model the Galaxy S4, it is a remarkable improvement over its previous operating system, the Ice Cream Sandwich. This update is available for download both over the air and through KIES. There is a small problem though. The update is only available in certain regions. These regions include Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. Don’t worry though; the update will soon be available outside Asia as well.
In case you don’t know what you will get with this new operating system, you will be getting Project Butter and Google Now. If you don’t know what Project Butter is about, it basically helps your Tab run smoothly. Even Premium Suite and the TouchWiz UI come along with this new operating system.
