The new game Beyond Good and Evil 2 is in the pre-production stage. Michel Ancel, who made possible the cult Beyond Good and Evil has recently posted concept art which appears to imply the possibility of a sequel. He also stated that the new game of the series is in pre-production. Although work is still in progress, many fans are thrilled to find out that at least there will be some sequel. It will take years for the developers to finish the game.
There were rumors about the game, even before Ancel’s statement. People were hoping for a new Beyond Good and Evil, but they did not know what expectations to set. Their hope for the best playing material never vanished. Ancel’s declaration is the proof that people are working to develop something greater than fans’ beliefs. The pre-production stage is a state of the production process which proves that technology and time are being consumed for the same purpose: the existence of Beyond Good and Evil 2.
The original game, the first of the series, had poor sales and received a critical success. Many fans managed to make the game go up on a scale, by playing it and trusting its features. Even if at the beginning gamers were a little reserved concerning this game, over the past 13 years they discovered Beyond Good and Evil’s world and fell in love with the graphics and the story. It has developed into a classic cult. It’s probably gamers’ support that determined developers to continue the series.
Fans are thinking that, if this new version is now in pre-production, maybe developers plan to change all that has been criticized in the last game that appeared on the market. The coming into being of the new game was predictable since some footage of the game was leaked, and a few trailers aroused fans’ excitement. Although those images and video had appeared, we cannot be a hundred percent sure all that will be in the design of the new Beyond Good and Evil 2.
It has been announced that only Nintendo NX’s owners can enjoy the game. The play is specially designed for Nintendo console. Probably it is all about a partnership between Nintendo and Ubisoft before they started working from scratch to develop it. The idea of an agreement between the two was possible only if Nintendo is assisting with the production costs. If that’s so, then we should be thankful to this company for not losing this sequel.
The first game of the series had a family formed out of Rastafarian rhinos who were in charge of the Mammago Garage. There, Jade, the lead character could get some upgrades for her hovercraft. It seems some of these characters will appear in the new Beyond Good and Evil 2, too. Aside from this traits, there are also humanoid sharks. Some pictures were made available by Ubisoft last week.
Are you one of the fans? Will you be curious to purchase the game?
