5 years ago, the iPad was born in order to fulfill the needs of all mobile users who needed a bigger gadget, and the PC ones who needed a smaller device. For a while, iPhones and Macs have balanced their sales, without being too much of one of them, for the disadvantage of the other. But after that small period has passed, the iPhone remained the king and queen of the realm: three quarters of all Apple sales are related to it, whereas Macs and iPads just can’t seem to catch from behind. If Apple was to calculate the sales of these two, in comparison with other companies that sell similar products, it could be proud, but a champion only compares with himself.
Nonetheless, 2015 promises to change the situation of those left behind. A “big screen” for the iPad is the main attraction of the novelty. A “small screen”, actually an “ultra-slim design” MacBook Air is on the edge of being launched as soon as possible. The file line between them is… nonexistent, because they will both have a 12.5-inch screen. This certain issue rises a problem related to the customers, what will be the effect on them, how could they make the difference and decide what they want to buy. But what are the news about the new MacBook ?
Firstly, a high resolution Retina that has the power of offering an “outstanding visual experience of the Retina MacBook Pro.” The possibility of low power Core M processors to exist is assured by a new model of inner fan that will make everything sound very quiet. The colors from which customers can choose are: grey, silver and gold. Mid 2015 is the estimated time for the launching of the MacBook, even if an exact announcement hasn’t been done about the subject.
There has been a lot of talking about the necessity of an operating system that combines best Mac OS X and iOS, because has been needed for a while now. The iPad has been urgented to extend its capacity more, just like a full computer would be, even if it has a lot of useful and smart apps to use and abuse of. A good example for this fact could be Surface. Some specialists and gadget editors believe that Microsoft could be a good solution for this situation, because it could combine well the two concepts. However, there has been no rumours spreading about such a thing being possible yet.
