As more social networks and applications are released on the market, there are more passwords we need to remember. This can be a real struggle for us especially when we have so many things to do and sometimes we forget what was the password we chose five years ago. Google is now trying to help his users to manage passwords by creating a special security management system.
Password manager Dashlane announced its partnership with Google. They are going to do a project that will help Androird users to log into their apps easily, just by using stored passwords. The application will be named Open Yolo. Other companies will also involve in this project, so that passwords will be created and stored for every website and you won’t have to remember them.
The big engine is expected to approve this project by next month. At first, you will just be able to manage passwords for your Android applications. In the future, this project could be used by apps all over the world, no matter the operating system. Google is willing to help all the companies to ease their customers.
Simple passwords do not longer exist. Every website recommends that your passwords should be more than ten characters, including numbers. It is almost impossible for the average user to remember all of them, so this project could be our saviour. There are some apps that use our fingerprints or iris to identify us. The main issue with them is that they can’t be used in every situation and sometimes they are not efficient.
Apple is also trying to find ways to help their users. They managed to create a system using the Apple Watch. If you are an IOS user, you just have to be in the proximity of your Mac and you won’t need a password anymore. How cool is that?
The project Google will release is designed to recognize you from the way you use your device. It will sure bring major changes to the way we tried to manage passwords until now. Maybe in a few months remembering passwords won’t be a problem anymore and our accounts will be safer too. What is your opinion about the big next step Google is planning?
