Verizon had earlier said that it would make an announcement regarding something and as stated by CNET it is expected that the 23rd July press conference might be about the next generation of Droid device lineage. According to some reports, the event might only be holding some presentations for the latest Droid Mini, Droid Max, and Droid Ultra. Strangely, the HTC One Verizon model does not find mention as many had thought it would. Instead, the carrier could well be seen tweeting about the availability of the new Droid range and even shipment details of the devices at the stores, something that Verizon had done with the Nokia 928 that it had launched in the last quarter.
As for the new range of smartphones itself, the Droid line up could mark a change of strategy at Verizon to have minimum presence on their products. This is already evident in the way the logo has been placed on the smartphones. Such a trend is also likely to be followed as far as inclusion of additional apps that will be shipped along with the device’s Android version. Therefore it becomes quite clear that the company is focusing its attention towards the Droid devices rather than the HTC One.
According to some leaked information, Moto Droid Ultra comes with a latest combination of updated hardware specifications, that too in a shock resistant body, and definitely with a bigger battery with it. The Droid Mini is also expected to take over the middle level category, just like the 2012 model of the Droid Razr M. The Droid Max with its bigger battery on the other hand is expected to appeal to those who more power out of their smartphones.
