That Verizon, one of the biggest wireless service providers in the US is going to update a number of their phones in the near future is very much possible now that they have a press event scheduled for the 23rd of July. Invitation for the same has been sent out to select members of the media. This network service provider has been known for its consistency in providing services in the US but has always been slow in updating their products.
The press event is likely to find Verizon release date for Motorola Droid Ultra, Droid Mini and the Droid Maxx devices at the press event. The event should also find Verizon announcing the update of their Droid RAZR HD, RAZR Maxx HD, and the RAZR M devices. These devices had been launched last summer and not seen any update till now. What the devices would look like has also been leaked by @evleaks, and we already are aware of how close to reality the leakster has proved to be most of the time.
Motorola should also be doing its bit to update and resurrect its devices in the fiercely competitive market where there are so many other options to go for. The update by Verizon is quite long overdue and the press event is being looked forward to by all who follow the geek world.
