Microsoft Xbox One required four long years of development and it was finally unveiled at Microsoft Redmond Campus today. Release date of Microsoft Xbox One is supposed to be announced at Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles on June 10. Tagged as an ‘all-in-one gaming system’ by Microsoft, the Xbox One is to support major entertainment deeds like TV watching and gaming together.
The Xbox One is definitely more advanced than its predecessor. However, it does not include all features, which fans have anticipated.
Design
The Microsoft Xbox features elegant design. Contrasting gloss and matt shades, Xbox One appears to be a slim gaming console. The outer layout of Xbox One is called liquid black by Microsoft. The outer core possesses vented finishes including all outputs and inputs, which a user may need. An HDMI pass-through and USB ports are also present.
Kinect
Xbox One features a new Kinect model. The camera-based Kinect module features enhanced voice detection and better motion specs. Face detection is also a part of the new Kinect. It can measure your heart rate, recognize if you are talking or smiling. The new Kinect accepts all sorts of voice commands. It features an HD 1080p camera.
Microsoft announced that over fifteen games will be available in Xbox One in its foremost year. Recently, Xbox has lodged alien shooter games like ‘Gears of War’ and sci-fi shooter games such as ‘Halo’. Popular games like ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’, ‘Quantum Break’, ‘Forza Motorsport 5’ and ‘FIFA 14’ are supposed to be included in Xbox One. But EA is yet to release some of its announced games, which will be integrated in Xbox One in its second year. Probably, Microsoft will reveal more details on Xbox One’s games at E3 2013.
Controller
The fat bulky battery pump has vanished from its back. The new generation Xbox endorses vibrating trigger buttons and directional pad. A demonstration of the prototype controller displayed the vibrating triggers throbbing in a rhythm depicting heart beats.
System Requirements
The Xbox One does not need a continuous internet connection. Moreover, the Kinect’s camera is enabled with privacy settings, which you can alter. The Kinect component will be readily included in Xbox One and you will not need to buy it separately unlike with Xbox 360. However, an internet connection will facilitate better functioning of some key features.
Game DVR
An active Game DVR clicks and accesses your treasured moments, which are stored to the cloud.
Live TV
The HDMI passthrough in Xbox One allows users to watch television on telco, cable or satellite set-top-box via the new generation Xbox.
OneGuide
The OneGuide module lets you locate your preferred entertainment simply searching by network or game name. The feature easily accepts voice commands.
Xbox SmartGlass
The Xbox SmartGlass is capacitated with the ability to deliver content direct into the gadget. With this spec, multiple devices can be connected for shared and multiplayer entertainment.
The Xbox One specifications unveiled by Microsoft so far seem interesting but hopefully, some more interesting specs will be integrated and revealed by Microsoft soon. WII U scheduled for release in November and Sony’s PS4 will be ultimate competitors to Xbox One if they surface this year.
