So, the perspective of a comeback by Facebook`s rival, Google, seem pretty plausible. And Re/code say that it is also real. It is rumored that Google`s new project intends to let you pay your bills directly from your Gmail. If you were skeptical about digital wallets and, actually, digital everything, here`s another fact to make you reconsider your position.
The new project could go by the name of `Pony Express`. It looks like Google got its inspiration from the mail delivery system that was functioning in the 1860s, mostly in the Wild West. At that time, riding on the back of horses was the only way available to deliver the mail in a faster way, since the telegraph would only come out years later, at the end of the nineteenth century.
The technology site Re/code adds that, according to the documents that they claim to have viewed, Google intends to make this Pony Express service available and release it until the end of the current year.
The tech giant company didn`t want to comment on the matter. A spokesman representing Google affirmed that they had no news to share at the moment.
Gmail is already a smooth, fine-working e-mail service. The platform already has the capacity to automatically mark important data on your calendar, like flights that you have to catch or meetings that you have to attend. And if you are not happy with the email lists that you connected with, you don`t need to leave the platform in order to unsubscribe or to get rid of irritating lists. Thus such a new service would only represent an improvement, as Gmail continues with their policy of offering their costumers comfort and making them less stressed.
Moreover, companies may also be in advantage as soon as the Pony Express is released. The new service means a lot less paper and time consumed by formalities, which is great, as `time is money`. And Google is aware of that too, taking another measure to enlarge the Google zone.
