Google IO 2014 Convention
We put all of our brains into thinking mode and we’ve compiled a small list of things we think are going to be introduced at the convention. So, here are four things we expect from Google IO 2014:
1. A New Version of Android
Android releases a new version of their operating system every 5 to 8 months and that is a fact. Jelly Bean (Android version 4.4.2) has been around since December 2013, which makes it about time we got a new operating system from Android.
New features that the new Android might include could be new apps that take into account Google’s new smartwatches or even better messaging integration across platforms. When Google merges Hangouts with SMS, the texts didn’t appear on people’s computers.
2. Let the Google Watch Come to Us
Come on, people, it seems like it’s been forever since Google first started teasing us about the introduction of Google Watch. Android Wear needs to have more mediums and it needs that now! Other Android watches are due to make an appearance onstage at the Google IO 2014, such as the circular Moto 360 which is rumored to have wireless inductive charging and the cool price of around $250.
3. Google Glass for the Masses
Google Glass is still in beta, for which testers in the US are paying $1,500! Wouldn’t it be nice if Google finally brought Google Glass to the masses and made it much more affordable? It’s more likely that Google made the Glass available in countries such as the UK or Australia, but we’ll have to wait and see what the future has in store for this futuristic gadget.
4. More Information about Project Ara
Remember Google’s Project Ara, the phone made from blocks? Well, we expect more information about the LEGO phone at the Google IO 2014. If Google really is serious about Project Ara, then we should expect some information about it, something that will tell us that it’s an ongoing project.
What do you think will happen at the Google IO 2014? Any predictions you would like to share with us? Drop us a line in the comment section below and tell us your thoughts on the matter!
