For starters, a good size for a touchscreen laptop is at around 11 inches, a bit bigger than a tablet and smaller than an average-sized notebook, and the Toshiba Satellite NB15t delivers: its display is 11.6 inches and it feels very compact and comfortable in your hands. It’s not the lightest notebook you’ll get your hands on, as it weighs 3.3 pounds, but when you see the ports you’ll see why that is: there’s one VGA output, Ethernet, USB 3.0, HDMI out, microSD reader, microphone jack, two USB 2.0 ports and headphone jack.
Toshiba Satellite NB15t – Technical Specifications
The Toshiba Satellite NB15t measures 11.2 x 8.2 x 0.99 inches (W x D x H) making it pretty slim for a touchscreen laptop.
It packs a 2.0GHGz Intel Celeron N2810 dual-core processor, with 4GB of RAM (DDR3 1600MHz), an integrated Intel HD Graphics and a 500GB 5400 rpm HDD. It has an Intel Dual-Band Wireless AC 3160 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. The web camera is not bad at 8MP, but the screen is quite impressive: 11.6’’, 1366×768 LCD with a 5-point multitouch.
We’ve gotten our hands on this pretty, little laptop and we must say it’s pretty good. The battery is the only thing that doesn’t quite satisfy us, as it doesn’t last too long, but that’s pretty common in touchscreen laptops.
The Toshiba Satellite NB15t costs only $379, which is great, for a touchscreen display and pretty amazing tech specs. Are you considering buying a laptop? Would you like one with a touchscreen display?
